"great product and price. They are easy to put on and they also work great! Make sure to use epoxy glue, other types of glue don't stick when the handlebars heat up."

ATV Grip Heaters,
May 18, 2009
By CaptMontana
from Montana/Florida
|
"The grips are larger and have more cushion than the stock ones that came on my Polaris 800 Touring. I had a little trouble with the left grip going on " Tight" but the right one went on with no problem Used a little WD-40. Then use Gorilla glue. Wiring was easy. They heat up great in the Montana Cold. I also installed a Thumb heater. Good Product! Capt. Montana."

Work OK,
March 6, 2009
By Brian2305

|
"I got these this last Christmas and installed them on my quad.
Installation was pretty easy. The problem I have is that one grip gets alot warmer than the other one. It is definatly noticable. I am not sure if it is suppose to be this way, but I am not happy with that. I would take them off and exchange them for another pair, but I had to glue them on and now they are permanant, unless I destroy them to remove. I think I would buy a different brand next time."

Great Product,

"I needed a set of grip heaters before my 3rd Season Rifle hunt in Colorado. They arrived in 4 days and were very easy to install. Even with soldering all the connections, I had them installed and working in less than an hour. They work almost too good. They get very hot. I could ride with thin gloves at 15F degrees and my hands were burning up on high. I would recommend these to anyone. These grips were also a lot chunkier than my originals on my Arctic cat ATV and made gripping the bars a lot easier."

Best hand warmers yet,
June 3, 2008
By AlaskanKen

"The Atv watmers that I have purchased from Cabela's are the best I have found to work here in the rain and cold of Kodiak Alaska. I have now purchaced 4 pairs for 4 different atv's and have not had any problems with them. They work great when riding out to my favorite fish and hunting location at Saltery Lake Lodge here on Kodiak Island."

Grip Heaters,
March 3, 2008
By sheephunter2
from Grand Junction, CO

"I just finished installing these while doing the wiring for a new winch on a Polaris Sportsman 500. It was a piece of cake. Steal your wife's blow dryer and heat up the factory grips then twist to get off. I did not glue mine on. If they slip later on I can glue them but felt it wouldn't be smart to glue them on right off! They certainly don't seem to be going anywhere. A little soapy water aided in the installation. One got stuck so I tapped gently on it with a rubber mallet. Or, you could finish the wiring and turn them on so they were warm - that would make them easier to slip on too. They seem to heat up well but I'm a little concerned about the large diameter. I don't think I will install this brand on my wife's ATV because of her smaller hands. It looks like it would be an issue."

"I did all the work myself and followed the instructions and went well. I used them several times already ice fishing and wouldn't be without them. It doesn't seem to take long and the handles are warmed up and you need that when you are out on the ice all night catching them crappie and walleye."

They don't last !!!,
February 9, 2008
By lbravo

"Our family has had 3 atv's with these grips. After a few months the grips one at a time died. We replaced them and after another few months they wouldn't work again. The other problem was when we had the heaters on for more than 30 min. they would shut off. They wouldn't work for 15 min. or so. Overall they just don't work well!!"

ATV Grip Heaters,
February 8, 2008
By Anonymous

"Got them installed, but it wasn't easy getting the factory ones off. If you have a heat gun, carefully heat them up to soften the rubber and start twisting them off. Installation wasn't bad. They give you lots of extra wire in case you want to run the connection all the way to the battery, but I just used the 12v source from the 12v accessory port near the handle bars. You'll probably need a few tie wraps if you want to get the wires attached properly to your handlebars. They seem to take a while to heat up, but once they do, they are noticably warm. Seems like a good product. Haven't had a chance to go out riding with them yet. Hopefully they will hold up well. I would recommend them for cold weather riding."
