Not happy...,

"Used this on one trip. Dropped it on the 2nd day (on a carpeted floor). Hasn't worked since. Don't waste your money, very unhappy."

Crate Cooler Fragile,

"I have had four of these cooling fans for my dog crates. Problem is the quality of the plastic on the arms that attach the cooler to the crate and the plastic pins that work as a hinge on the battery compartment. Sadly, one of the pins broke while I was installing the batteries. This has happened before. The company that manufactures them should come up with a more robust design or materials for the existing design. The same applies to the attaching arms. They break with regularity. So, why did I purchase them. My last pair lasted for 8 years with added duct tape so I figure it is an ok deal."

"Daisy gives it 4 Paws up. Long rides in back of pick up truck with cap, Daisy often seemed to overheat. The fan was not perfect but seemed to make it cooler for her. Her crate pad was not nearly as wet as it had been in the past. It was easy to hook up and turn on. Better then the 12 volt fan we rigged up before."

Good idea but....,

"....this fan simply does not cool down nor keep a dog cool on a hot summer day. The blades get the air to circulate, but not fast enough to do much good. It's better than nothing, but don't expect much if you buy this product. Also, sometimes the batteries will shake loose while driving, turning the fan off. I have since purchased another powerfull battery opp fan and used wire to attach to dog kennel."

"I took the advise of a prior review-and introduced the fan to my dogs like I was introducing them to gun fire. Set a fan on low speed on top of the dog house (10ft. away from the dogs) while they eat-in a week I moved the fan to the ground 5 ft from where they were eating-nowI can throw some dry food on the ground around the fan and 2 of my three dogs will pay no attention to the fan-My dogs did not like the sound for some reason-it does not move a lot of air but I think it'll sure help on the early season trips."

"I found the fan was very good and performed as advertised. It attached easily to my pet crate and has two settings for blowing air. The batteries allow it to be very portable and I can always buy 2 D Size batteries. The size makes it easily transportable.
My only recommendation is that the fan should offer one higher speed. We live in an area that gets very hot in the summer and the high speed is ok but not hi enough to keep my pet cool for more than about 15 mins - 20 mins. in the car with the windows open."

"THIS PRODUCT WORKS GOOD. I have used on several occassions when the weather in Colorado get hot during the summer months. Wish it would push more air into the kennels. I thought it would work a little better than it does. Also not made of very durable materials."
