"Just got back from a 4 day camp out in the high country, and I am happy to say "no beaver fever"! These tablets work great with no after taste! only down side is the amount of time to purify. be prepared to wait 4hrs."

Good lightweight alternative to filters,April 10, 2008

"I used these tablets for the entire summer working as a ranger at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. They were much nicer than the polar pure iodine treatment I had used previously as there was not much of a chemical taste. It worked well and I never got sick due to the water. We drank water after 15 minutes of treatment which in enough to kill bacteria and viruses, but not cryptosporidium."

"I returened these because anything that is stated to cause skin burns and irreversable eye damage does not belong on a hiking trip or in my pack at all. A good water pump and some good old iodine tablets as a backup would be much safer. But then so would just drinking the lake water."

"We use these tablets caribou and elk hunting. The tablets worked well we placed them in plastic bottles in the morning and they were ready to drink the next day. The tablets are much smaller and lighted than any water purification system.
