"I used the Katadyn Hiker Water Microfilter for the first time on a recent fishing trip . The unit was easy to use and the water tasted great . Prior to the trip I tested it at home on our tap water What an improvement !! Very satisfied with the purchase."

"Worked great on it's first trip out with me. The creek water was still sort of yellow after filtering, but it didn't taste bad or make me sick. Filter is light and compact, produces water fast enough."

"I sure hope this works when I need it. It is just what I was looking for , but as of yet I have been unable to try it out. It is small, light and comes with it's own carrying case , which is really good. This should fit right well in my back pack."

"I have not used mine yet but I have used friend's and it worked great. It filters water fast. This summer at a base camp we filled a 10 gallon container in no time using two of these. I love that the filter does not have to be changed out often."

BEST DRINK OF WATER ON A LONG HIKE,

"I bought the Katadyn Microfilter for a long hike. The filter worked flawlessly. There were 16 of us, which meant a lot of hydro packs to refill. There were a few other micro filters there as well. All of the filters were the Katadyn Microfilter. Each bag, bladder, or water bottle was filled quickly with clean water. Each time we stopped to refill, the water tasted fresh, with no bad aftertast. The micro filter was also very easy to clean. This is a necessary item for long hikes. I would recommend this to anyone."

"On our recent backpacking trip we used the Katadyn Hiker Water Microfilter and some other new filter. The Katadyn blew the other filter away. They are not exaggerating when they say it can pump 1 quart of water per minute. That is being conservative. The pump is easy to use, and doesn't fatique your arm and hands like some of the pumps I've owned in the past. This is the best pump for the money that I have experienced to date."

I can't say enough good things about its small size and convenience. The assembly instructions in the package were not great. However, it is simple to assemble once you figure it out."

"This is my second filter of this kind because I lost my old one. I do a lot of backcountry backpacking and hunting. Having a good filter is a must. I drink more water than I can possibly carry in a day. I rely on the mountain streams and my filter to keep me hydrated."
