The only thing more important than staying light on your feet during a long hike is staying properly
hydrated with clean, bacteria-free water. Now any water source you pass can be a place to refill your
water bottles and canteens without hauling a heavy, bulky water-filtration system. Microfilters eliminate
giardia and most bacteria from the water. These lightweight filters pack away compactly into your gear
and deliver up to 1-1/2 quarts of water per minute.
Weighing only 11 oz. and measuring only 6-1/2" high, the Hiker Microfilter is one of the
easiest filters to operate. 129 sq. in. of pleated 0.3 micron glassfiber filtration media traps particles and
permits clean water to pass. Includes prefilter, universal bottle adapter and carry bag. 1 qt. per
minute/200-gallon cartridge life.
The Hiker Pro filters up to one quart per minute with just 48 strokes. Removable filter
protector extends cartridge life. Quick-connect fittings for easy installation and removal of output
hoses also allow direct attachment to hydration pack 1/4" drink tubes. Activated-carbon core
eliminates unpleasant tastes and odors. Comes with a prefilter, universal bottle adapter and carry bag.
