Good Results On Texas Sand Bass, October 11, 2009

"Except for a few spinners I have very few gold colored lures in my tackle box but for some reason I decided to buy one of these Diamond spoons in the gold color, 3/8 oz. size. Went lake shore fishing this morning for white bass (sand bass) and the action was pretty slow. So just for the heck of it I tied the gold one on for the first time not expecting much. Third cast -- WHAM -- a very nice size Sandy. Within 30 minutes I had five keepers (and they weren't even schooling). I noticed something odd though. Only two of the five fish had a hook inside their mouth. The other three got hooked under the lower jaw. It was obvious they had gone after it but for some reason had just missed taking the hook in. Strange."

"The 7/8th oz. worked beautifully on under ice pike. I used two lures, one classic daredevle, and one of these diamond spoons and the diamond caught a fish every 15 minutes and the red and white daredevle didn't catch any."

"Very good Pike spoon. I used them a lot last year and had to get some more colors. They are a little lighter than some similar spoons, which is what I like. I can let them roll and flutter at a slower speed."
