Walleye fishing NC,
August 7, 2009
By Buzzbait4
from Greensboro, NC
|
"I bought these for the specific kind of Walleye fishing we do in NC during the Summer months we also like the ease of rigging with these bottom bouncers. We generally fish in 24-30 ft of water and these are perfect for that. They pull right through the brush and occasional rock features on the bottom. I have not lost a rig in 2 years, but I wanted to have some more in order that some of my friends could also enjoy the experience."

Bottom bouncer,
May 18, 2009
By Impulse
from Aylmer, Qc. Canada
|
"Tried the bottom bouncer for lake trout, attached to leader then added 12-16" of braided line for the lure. Bottom bouncer does what it claims, although didn't catch anything while using it. I felt it skipping over obstructions & the lure never snagged. Will try when waters warm up. Cheers"

"Fished the mighty Niagara River using a 3 way swivel rig to drift for steelhead trout. Fish from 16 to 25 foot of water. These weights are great. Fished 2 full days and we only hung one up that we could not get out."

"This is a good product for fishing in the high surf. They work well due to their weight and elongated size. Thus helping to keep your bait in the current and reduce snags."

Bulk Bottom Bouncers, Unpainted Pencil; Item:IG-11,
November 25, 2006
By BigCity
from Yakima, (Central) Washington
|
"I found this item, Bulk Bottom Bouncers, Unpainted Pencil; Item:IG-11, to be an excellent choice through Cabelas. While these bouncers are "cheap" they can be very effective. I seem to end up modifying most terminal tackle and these bottom bouncers are no exception. I use these jigs unpainted while painting others. I have even added colored or glow in the dark beads to the bottom of the walker when the fishing is slow. If you plan ahead the beads can be glued into place. But, as I usually modify equipment as I fish, it's easiest to use small rubber bands to hold the beads in place. Keep experimenting; changing things up may be the difference between having a great day and just floating you boat. Another recommended product, BC"

Bottom bouncing,
November 21, 2006
By Gery
from Indiana
|
"Keeping your bait near the bottom is critical to consistently catching walleye. This bottom bouncer allows me to attach a 36" mono leader with a floating jighead tipped with a leach. I will either drift or back troll over the structure holding the walleyes. I consistently out fish my boat partner if he is just using a lead jig tipped with a leach, because he gets snagged in the rocks far more than I do."
