"I own two of these units. I housed a stray pit mix that chewed the front panel to pieces in 2 days,,, I ordered another "door panel" and this time I installed treated ply wood to the inside 360• cut out around the door. That does two things: it makes it chew proof and insulates the house..I also raised them up by installing on cement blocks. I mounted thermostat heaters and they run all winter @ 65• with strip door panels.
** I have seen these houses locally and the company has gone away from the asphalt roof?? Do not buy one without the asphalt roof! Its the best part of the house!!!"

Geat dog House,

"This is the second dog house we have purchased from cabelas the first one he wore out. It has taken him 7 years to ware it out. My dog likes to sleep on the top of this house as well as in side it. Purchased for a Chocolate lab he was very excited to have a new house. Keeps him warm."

Excellent Overall with Two Huskies,

"With two large dogs, we looked extensively for dog houses. This one was the right price and size, and was extremely easy to assemble. It's well made with simple, fairly sturdy construction. Of course, alaskan huskies would rather stretch out in the snow rather than in a dog house, but they do love to climb it like a mountain, and stand on top to observe their territory. I would recommend it to anyone, particularly with a heated pad instakked."

Ok house,

"This house looks nice but it is not the most sturdy thing on the market. the front side next to the door has started to crack from the dog bumping it on her way out. (She is fat and old) This isnt a big deal cause you cant see it, unless you pull on it. All in all its a ok dog house, its four years old and still looks good. Put a heated pad on the inside and with that the dog loves her home."

"This dog house looks nice, unfortunately thats the only good thing about it. The floor just lays in and is only 1/4 inch thick slats. I have a 90lb black lab that when he went in the house the first time the floor broke.."

"This looks good but can't stand up to the elements. Had it for 3 months and the floor started rotting out and the roof cracking. For this much money I expected it to last longer"
