"I bought this for the back of my '07 F-150. Fits well enough for me to be happy with cost of the product. It is a bit short on the ends (in the F-150), but a long towel underneath helps out on the edges. The product also helps keep my 95 pound lab (Artie) in the back seat and off of MY armrest. Also helps collect a lot of the excess dog hair. For those F-150 owners...take an old towel and pop a few holes in it to fit through the posts for the back headrests and over the child seat hooks. This will provide a little extra protection for the top of the back seat."

"this hammock does not fit correctly in my car. I drive a 2004 Jaguar S-type, the adjustable capabilities are not that great. It doesn't give you a barrier between the front and back seat like it should, rather it slouches in the center giving them free reign of the whole vehicle. I do not recommend."

"I bought the Backseat Dog Hammock for my Honda Accord about four years ago, and it has held up pretty well. My dog is a 60-lb Dalmatian with thick toenails, and the hammock has not torn, though it has snagged in places. Still looks okay.
I like the light weight of this cover very much. It's easy to take in and out of the car, and I just shake it out or even pop it in the washer. I also like that the gray color matches the interior of the car, and it fits the seat well. Being a Dalmatian, Jack sheds a LOT. Does the hammock keep the backseat completely clean? Of course not, but it keeps fur off the floor except on the ends next to the doors. Fur on the leather seats is not a problem, because it just brushes off, which I love.
But the leather seats are the reason I didn't give the hammock five stars. I want Jack to be able to move around a bit, so I have it adjusted fairly loosely. He has a seat belt, but the main reason I bought this style of seat cover is to make absolutely sure that he doesn't fall into the floorboard. It works well for that, but on the leather seats, the dog slipped and slid all over the place because the backing on the hammock is not non-skid. It was harder to do than you might think, but I managed to clumsily attach (hand-sewed) rug-grip on the underside, and it works, but it's not the best solution. Still, I like the hammock, and we'll use it until it wears out."

"I am satisfied with the quality of construction. In order to be universal in fit there are compromises in design that limit the performance effectiveness somewhat. I suspect that I will have to modify the attachment straps to keep the unsupported corners from flopping down. I am using this in the back seat of a double cab Tacoma"

"This is a well made product that measures up to expectations. That said, my Golden Retriver has an aversion to the slick and slippery outer surface. If you've ever watched a dog avoid a slippery floor you'll know what I mean. If any portion of the seat is left uncovered that's where she sits. I'm going to try her dog bed on it with an anti-slip rug pad underneath it to keep dog and bed in place."

"I am quite satisfied with the backseat hammock it is working well with keeping the seat and the floor clear of hair and dirt, and it is great for keeping my dog on the seat in the back of the truck or car the way it cradles up the back of the front seat keeps him from trying to get into the front seat area. "This worked well and was easy to fit into my M3 sedan. The ends do tend to bunch up a bit as the other reviewers mention, but overall this is very functional and my two labs were much more comfortable and contained than they would have been without it. "The only reason I gave it a 4 start is because the hammock is too short on each end for the F 150 seat. The quality is good, and fits/adjusts well, but the material does not cover the ends of the seat by both doors. This is a problem when you have a wet/dirty dog jumping up into the seat. Simple fix is to put towels on each end under the hammock."

"I ordered this for my pickup and my 100 lb. Black Lab "puppie". He loves to ride in the box of the pickup but with the colder weather coming sometimes I want him inside with me. I have tan interior and didn't like the hair and foot tracks that come with a large farm dog. I put this in the backseat and now when I ask him if he wants to ride in the hammock he stands at attention at the back door. It gives your large dog much more room to stretch out and is easily folded back when you need your backseat for human companions."

"I have an 80 lb. male greyhound and a 2003 Subaru Baja. I purchased this product because my giant dog was always falling off the backseat. He was always trying to lay down with his back to the front seat. It really made no sense. Then, if I would stop suddenly he would fall and get stuck with his feet sticking up. Driving with him was difficult. This product does stop most of the problems I have had associated with him in the car. Like the others, though I wish the material or looping system allowed for total coverage of the back seat. It probably covers about 90%. Its not completely fail safe, but it does a fine job- and is much cheaper than others I have seen. Thanks Cabela's!"
