Assembly hint,

"This is a very nice product once you are able to assemble it.
I read the reviews before I bought the ring and thought I wouldn't have any problems, well I was wrong.
Here's a hint which will help. Use a nylon tie down strap and wrap it around the ring to hold in the bottom portion during assemble. I also used another tie down and pulled it across the top to pull the pieces together.

"It looks great which is why I purchased it. Loved it the first time we used it but it should have a screen around the side as ashes blow out from the cut outs after. It should also include a screen for the top. Am a little disappointed."

"The unit has only been used once so it is a little too early to address construction and lifespan. It was more difficult to assemble than expected ( pieces were difficult to fit) and an improvement would be some sort of grate or log support to keep fire off the metal "floor" of the unit which I feel would enhance it's length of usage."

"We are happy with it now that the ring is put together but it was extremely tough to put together. We needed 5 hands and clamps in order to force the ring into the shape to get the bolts in place."

"I really like the silhouette of the forest. But I am a little disappointed about no fire safety grill. So i fabricated a protection grill and lid, Looks like an industrial pit now. But in all IT'S Great Thanks."

"This fire ring with base appealed to us because we could move it around. We love to camp and missed the open fire when we are at home, so I started looking at fire rings.
The Dalsin unit is priced right, has a nice design, is easy to assemble, easy to clean up and can be moved from one part of the yard to another.
The grandkids have roasted winnies and did the Smores thing and just have had a ball with it, but since the fire is contained it's safe and we can control the experience."
