"Pretty nice product, miles ahead of the old blue foam, but only suitable for car camping due to size and weight, definitely benefits from some help with inflation."

excellent value,October 7, 2009
By lladnewfrom PA
"This mat worked great. I took it on a 3 day canoe/camping trip. It was an improvement over the thinner/smaller mat that I had used previously. It also was one of the least expensive options. Obviously not super small and light weight, but if that isn't your most important need this is a good option."

Sleeping Mat Flat,September 6, 2009
By ArkansasOutdoorsman
"I couldn't recommend this product to anyone. Bought it just for an upcoming trip (hiked rim to rim in the Grand Canyon) and followed all the instructions as to inflating and deflating several times before use. Upon actual use, the product stood up to only one's nights use before springing a leak, and NO, it wasn't a puncture, it started leaking around one of the center "spot-bonded" areas and when I laid on it, it blew a big tear in it. The product was never on "ground contact" and apparently has workmanship issues. DO NOT buy this product unless you just like sleeping on a piece of plastic on something hard !"

Is not what description says,September 4, 2009
By Tray0106
"It does not self inflate, at all. The descriptions claims it is 2 1/2 inches thick, but when fully inflated it is about 1 1/2 inches thick."

Trekker Spot-Bonded Self Inflating Sleeping Mat,September 2, 2009
By Tammy5from Aurora, CO
"We ordered five of these for a family camping trip. They worked out great for the kids; they're a bit small/narrow for adults.
We inflated and deflated all of them three or four times before use per the instructions. They only inflate partially; you will need to blow more air into them in order to actually sleep on them. However, it doesn't take much as it's not like blowing up a mattress.
Overall, they worked well for us. They deflate and roll back up easily and are easy to store. I wish they inflated a bit more on their own, but I guess that's to be expected with a self-inflating mat."

great pad,August 17, 2009
By 3boysdadfrom Rhode Island
"i bought the pad after the valve on my EMS pad broke. for about half the price I had a great night's sleep. It's a little bulky if you're not car camping, and it's too soon to comment on durability, but so far I am very happy with it."

Went flat on the first use,August 14, 2009
By Bruisedfrom Texas
"I bought this mattress thinking it was a good 'ol, plain air matress without bulky foam. Wrong. I found the pattern of welded "buttons" uncomfortable but bearable. Because time was short I had to keep it, even though I wasn't happy. The first night the mattress leaked all the air. Then I was glad it had the foam or I would have been sleeping on gravel. Thinking I had not sealed the valve properly, I tried again the next night. It went flat again. I am going to try to return it for a refund. If they don't take it back, it goes into the garbage.
I must not be alone in my disappointment because it has taken me five tries to find a review nickname that isn't already taken!"

Unbelievable comfort!,July 14, 2009
By 10coyotesdownfrom Lima OH
"My wife & I are sixty and we each ride our motorcycles to national rallies. Sturgis, Gettysburg, Daytona, etc. Current economics dictate more camping instead of Motels. We bought two of these mats for that purpose. The mats snap together and stayed together. They self inflate to a comfortable level but you can add more air and it's it's even more comfortable. I've used other mats over the years- but NONE and I MEAN NONE were or are as comfortable as the Cabela's mat. I should buy two more just for extras. We plan to ride until we can't walk and these mats will be with us every time we camp. I intend to use mine at the fall deer camps as well. Great Value. I highly recommend this mat."
