    Good tent, October 13, 2009
    By maxxxxx from California

"Exactly what I was looking for, fast and easy to set up, good quality and plenty of room for one and gear inside or two with gear outside. I packed it up into the trinity Alps. The fiberglass poles could be lighter, the pack weight is a little on the heavy side. A friend bought a columbia for twice as much and they were almost identical."

    Love It, June 30, 2009
    By RenoNevada

"I live in Northwestern Ontario and have had many tents for our camping trips which last between 3 to 6 days. This Tetragon tent did the trick in many ways. When we had a heavy down pour for aday, I was dry. When it was hot, I was cool. When it was very windy the tent held it's own. Lots of room for my very large cot, chair and gear. Easy to setup ( did it by myself the first time). Great Tent"

    Eureka Tetragon 1610 review, May 13, 2009
    By mnort from South Mississippi

"Once again Eureka has come through for me with a great tent for a base camp or car camping. This will be the official Scoutmaster tent for the troop as it has plenty of head room for the adults. After reading several reviews concerning a water leakage problem, I thoroughly sealed all floor seams before our first camping trip, and used a ground tarp during the campout. We had a heavy dew each morning on the tent and a small rain shower on one night without a single leak. Although it's listed as an eight person tent, four adults would be all I would put in this tent. Also, this tent takes 2 people to set up with the least amount of hassle."

    Solid Tent, April 12, 2009
By xxxxxxx0009 from Kingston Springs, TN

"I decided to purchase this tent after reading the good reviews that were listed on several different forums. I must say I was not dissappointed with my purchase. Please keep in mind that this is a family/recreational type tent and is not designed to withstand mountaneering type conditions. Having said that, this tent provided everything I hoped it would. My wife and I just got back from a 14 day camping trip through the southeast and Florida. The tent withstood rain and high winds and provided us with a comfortable shelter. One thing that I must stress is that this tent comes with two fiberglass poles. If you expect windy conditions, you must stake the tent down from every available guy point. Due to the high profile of the Tetragon 9, this is a critical step. If you fail to do this, high winds could snap or crack your poles. Having staked the tent down properly, it literally withstood wind gusts of in the 35-40 mph hour range. Keep in mind these were only gusts and not sustained winds but at any rate, I was impressed. The tent also withstood one of the rainiest nights I have ever experienced in a tent and kept us dry. I did not think this tent would survive the type of storm we experienced but it did.

Bottom line, I would recommend this tent to anyone looking for a value priced tent for family camping for spring, summer and fall conditions.

    Tetragon 7 - it leaks, April 11, 2009
By RockChuck from Twin Falls, Idaho

"The fly is poorly designed. In back, it doesn't come down nearly far enough to cover the floor/body seam. The upper part of the tent isn't waterproof and water on it leaks through the fabric above the floor seam.
On the front, the fly doesn't extend out or down far enough and water gets on the door and leaks through the zipper.
Otherwise, it's a good economical tent. It's very easy to set up and to use. It has lots of interior pockets, too. We used it on a car trip to AK and it worked very well - but luckily it only rained 1 night while we were there.
I said I'd recommend it to a friend - but only in a dry climate.

Durability tested in ALASKA!, November 25, 2008
    By alaskanhidalgo from Wasilla, Alaska

"2008 was an epic adventure. This tent withstood stiff winds, bone chilling glacier ice, days of pounding rain, heavy wet snow....but it could NOT withstand the angry claws of a 1000 lbs grizzly. This tent gets 5 stars simply because been one part of all our Cabela's gear that helped us harvest 2 AWESOME Dall Sheep, 3 monster moose, and countless bear and fishing adventures that only some dream of. We're living the dream and we're ordering another one of these tents because 2009 will only prove to be better than 2008. Watch out Brown Bear, Goats, Sheep, Black Bears, and Moose because we have another tent on it way!!!!

    Tetragon 9 is a winner!, September 15, 2008
    By Beachcamperfl from Clearwater, FL

"After owning and using the latest model Eureka Tetragon 9 for over a year now, I have only good things to say about it. Let me start by saying that these are NOT OUTFITTER TENTS! They are recreational family camping (campground, back yard, etc.) tents. They are intended for short term get-aways. And for this purpose, they excel. I have been thru rain storms with extremely high winds and even blowing debris hitting the tent. The Tet 9 came thru like a trooper. For the money, you cant beat this tent. Admittedly, the 1610 version of this tent family has its issues and Eureka needs to address them, but I have no bad words for this 9x9 dome. By the way, always use a ground barrier underneath, no matter what tent you buy. Happy Camping!"

"After having tried several tents, there are two things that really impressed us with this tent: floor plate design and ease of assembly. The quality of materials used is a bit disappointing. We did not encounter any foul weather so I cannot address that. It's a good name so we have faith in that. All in all... we are please with the value."

    By guoinfishing from Colorado

"First trip out it rained off and on for three days. I did not get a chance to waterproof the seams and a couple of lower seams leaked a little.I also made the mistake of having the floor footprint stick out a little and did get some moisture coming up from the bottom.
The tent is very roomy and seemed very strong.

Great tent - need better poles, July 26, 2008
    By AmyVT

"I got this tent for my boyfriend for Christmas, and we just went camping on a remote site on Lake Aziscohos in Maine. A week before we went, BF set up the tent and waterproofed it. At that time, he found out that a pole to hold up the rainfly in the back was broken. Since we were leaving in 4 days, he jerry-rigged the pole with bamboo and duct tape. Other than that, the tent was 100% perfect. We never got wet, even in a rainstorm. We had 2 twin air mattresses and our gear, and are so glad we got the three person tent, as the Tetragon 5 would have been tight.

Unfortunately, due to our jerry-rigging of the pole to be able to use the tent, the warranty is now invalidated, so we have to buy new poles, can't get them replaced.

Does the job, July 21, 2008
    By Hercs from Scituate, RI

"I was able to set this tent up easily by myself. There is plenty of storage inside the tent with the loft and the additional pockets. The ventilation was great and did not get stuffy at all with 2 people on a 85 degree humid night and the rain fly on. This tent looked like a fortress compared to the cheaper tents around the campsite and made me glad that I paid a little more for the quality."

    Poor quality, July 13, 2008
    By thelaw24 from Minnesota

"We purchased the Tetragon 1610 2 summers ago. The first tent we brought home was found to have a seam between the floor and sidewall separating. We returned to Cabelas and received a new tent. After 2 years and about 6 outings we have experienced water leaks, several holes in the floor and now the zipper on the main door has failed. The tent is easy to set up and has good ventilation. I really like the floor space, but would like a bit more head room. I was really hoping for a tent that lasted more than 2 years, but since the zipper will not close, this tent is now trash. We have been big Eureka fans, but will likely not purchase a Eureka tent again."

    Xcellent Tent, July 7, 2008
    By isamudysan from CA

"this tent was very simple to put up and take down...folding the tent and putting it away is a different story as i, myself, had a difficult time folding my own tent for the very 1st time.

the tent was as advertise -- quite spacious. of course, we had 1 full size air bed, and 2 twin air beds so that basically filled up the whole tent...then again, there was only 3 of us in the tent. i was able to stand up without a crouch in the center of the tent, so that was great as well.

furthermore, this tent was quite ventilated, too. this item is great for me as i like roomy and spacious tents (more roomy the better).

for the price, this tent is worth every penny i've paid.
