"These are an excellent, low-cost way to light your dinghy. Easy to install (no wiring required because they're battery powered) and very effective. Put them on for night cruising, then take them off for storage out of the weather elements. Great buy!"

"The portable LED lights work great. I have them on my 12 ft boat. The lights can be seen from quite a distance. The battery life keeps going and going. They attach very easy and secure. They cost a little bit more than regular lights but I think it's worth it and they will probably last a long time. I recommend these LED lights."

"Perfect for our nightime Kayak fishing trips for Striper on the New England coast. The units are well made and durable but most inportant you can be seen on the water. The led's are bright and they have a long run time on AA Baterries, no wiring required. If your a Yaker looking for the light, you've found it!"

"Mounted this light to my crate mate in the rear of my hobie, works great good height, does not get in the way of casting. Seems to be well constructed, great on batteries, and versatile. The big bonus is disposable battery powered, so no wiring, and no holes in the yak."

"I bought both the bow and stern lights for my jon boat and am truly amazed at the quality of both. They were easy to put together and install, the clamps adapt to any configuration and the lights are totally waterproof. And, if you're a bit clumsy like me at times and you drop them in the lake, they float! The LED lights are bright enough to comply with all laws and the battery life is Outstanding. Thanks Cabelas!"

"I used the stern light once and it worked fine. next time out it did not due to the break in the battery contact mechanism. Tried glue...did not work and neither does the light.
How about a good squeeze clamp instead od the screw/C clamp?"

"Great product for the price, easy to stow away when I dont need them. I like the clamps on the stern lights since I can mount them quickly and it dosent interfere with the rods or other equipment in the back of the boat. I would recommend both the bow and stern lights to all my fishing friends."

Had a problem with moisture,

"I have read the past reviews on this product and mostly all rated it at 5 stars. I agree that these lights are well constructed but the problem I had was that the water leaked into the casing. I left the lights mounted on the boat overnight and it rained. When I looked at the lights I could see water inside on the lens. I took it apart and inside was soaking wet. I dried everything out and put it back together again using WD40. The only place I could figure out where the water leaked from was between the lens and the cover housing. I put silicone around the seam and hopefully it works. I bought the bow and stern lights and both leaked. I hope this helps."
