Rain Shield,December 15, 2008
By THGGfrom Eastern Shore Md
"Bought this for my 18' scout. Install is pretty straight forward. I did snap off a bunch of the buttons when screwing in the self tapping screws. I have used it a few times and it does the job blocking wind and rain while driving. A custom job would obviously fit better but cost much more. Overall works as designed."

works great,July 5, 2007

"I have a 17' boston whaler with a 6' 10" beam. It fits perfect. I had a couple of inches on each side to wrap the corner of the bimini which adds extra protection. I would recommend this for biminis with a 6'10" beam up to 7' 6". The reason for 4 stars instead of five is that they could have made it about another 2 feet longer to extend all the way to the floor. However it isnt a big deal to me. Insallation took about 10 min using just a screwgun. and it stayed on at 27 knots which is my boats max. Very well made, seems like it will last a long time. All together worth the money."

rainshield,April 5, 2007
By Billybcoolfrom Colorado
"The rainshield came without attachment snaps. They were supplied 2 weeks later. The shield is not 8 feet wide as advertized, short by 3-4 inches. The lower sewn-in attachment straps are approximately 12-14 inches up from the bottom edge, and due to the fact that the rain shield is short in length, the shield does not even come to rest on the deck even when hanging completely vertical, thus the straps are usless as well as the length of the rainshield is too short. The boat used for the rainshield is a 20 ft tracker party barge with a factory bimini top that measures exactly 8 feet in width. I will need to do quite a bit of modification to make this work. Since this rainshield is designed to be used on various boats, the shield should have been designed as follows: 1. Obviously, attachment snaps and turnbuckles should have been not missing. 2. Width and length are too narrow and too short to be used on a standard bimini as tested on (9' long and 8' wide). A little extra material in the shield in both width and length are a must in considering that the application should apply to various bimini tops. It is easier to modify a little additional material then not enough material as is present in this case. 3. The two lower attachment straps need to be lower on the shield or better yet should be long enough to make up for various bimini designs which include height differences. Again the straps serve little function unless designed for one fit only."

"I have a 22' Bay Rider center console. The boat has a 100" beam, The raqin shield fits great. Even at crusing speed (30mph) it stays in place and blocks wind and spray. It is a great addition to my boat."

Bimini Rainshield 8',November 30, 2006

"Most pontoon boats are now 8 1/2" wide. The rain shield is 8'. My boat fits under the 'most' catagory. I would recomend it to someone with toon with an 8' beam."
