Excellent Value,September 15, 2009
By tzrudkinfrom Nampa, Idaho
"I'm more of big-dollar scope buyer for most things, but this is the exception. I mounted this on my tricked out Ruger 10/22 and for most shooting applications I encounter with a .22 this scope performs superbly. For those on a budget but don't want to miss out on quality, this is the scope for you. The mil-dot reticle is easy to see and use, and the moving parts on the scope are smooth and precise."

Doesn't hold a zero.,August 9, 2009
By slodsmfrom Gilmer Tx
"I tried this scope out on a friends 30'06 hog rifle. It's just a light weight Marlin he carries with him when working outdoors. I took it to the range and sighted it in on a bench and the scopes point of aim will change every shot fired. It fails the box test as well and the adjustments have no effect on it anymore after 19 rounds fired.
This scope is why I stick to the more expensive scopes, buy once, cry once."

Tasco Scope,May 5, 2009
By TexasSSfrom Gilmer,TX
"Not as great as i thought it would be. More of a target scope than a varmit scope. Focusing adjustments are a little tricky and slow for my night varmit hunts. Have this scope on a Remington 700 .223 and zeroed at 100 yds. Went shooting a week later and was still shooting 1/2 inch groups at 100 yds, but they were 3 inches high. Went back to zero and and after every shot the groups kept going back up again. Definetly dont need that while im trying to pick off coyotes at 300 plus yards."

Nice scope/nice price,April 20, 2009
By drpike2from New Jersey
"I put this scope on a CZ-Lux .22 and it works very well. Adjustments are easy and it provides a clear field of view. I am able to see the bullet travel at higher magnifications and it's adjustments for distance changes is repeatable. A good deal."

Wil not hold Zero with 308,April 6, 2009
By rharpfrom Crawfordsville, IN
"I purchased the 6x24-42 varmit scope at Cabela's along with a new 308 Win. I took it to the range to zero it and found that with every shot out of the 308, the elevation knob would turn 1 to 3 clicks from the recoil. I realize these are not high dollar scopes and I guess I have learned a new lesson."

Not just for airguns anymore,December 27, 2008
By Fuelmanfrom Kitsap Co., WA
"I just bought another one of these scopes, this time in the 2.5-10, for my 14 year olds first rifle with some real power, to set atop his 22-250. I also got one for myself at the same time, which comes on the heels of the 6-24 I bought a couple of years ago to go on my Bushmaster AR-15. These are GREAT scopes. Excellent clarity, mil-dot reticles, tough, good looking and works even better. TASCO absolutley proves with this line of scopes, you don't have to drop half a paycheck to get great quality or well placed shots. They're easy to mount, easy to adjust and have some cool bells and whistles to boot! Your buddies may snicker, until you outshoot them. And if they ever drop that gold plated, diamond encrusted, do everything, heavily mortgaged, "bling bling" scope that's now a useless hunk of metal, broken glass and leaking argon, you can just outright belly laugh at them. I have three. I will have more I'm sure."

Excellent scope for the money,December 27, 2008
By RickVSfrom Orange County, CA
"I have used this scope on a Savage .223 varmint model for several years. It has provided excellent service. I probably would not mount it on a heavily-recoiling rifle, but for a small caliber varmint rifle it works as well as my much expensive scopes from big-name brands. I have just purchased another one to go on another varmint rifle."

2.5x10x42 on 30-06,November 6, 2008
By TexasGSPfrom North Texas
"I have had this scope mounted on a savage 30-06 for about three years now and love it. I have it zeroed for 200 yards and routinely make 300-400 yards shots at one gallon water jugs and smaller aluminium cans with great results. It takes a beating in my truck and never loose it's zero. I plan on getting another one for my .223."

Tasco Target/Varmint Riflescope,October 29, 2008
By Buffalohunter2007from Bullhead City, AZ
"The Tasco Model VAR624X42M (6-24x) scope was more than I expected for the price. The larger windage and elevation dials make for quick adjustment. The ability to remove and adjust the windage and elevation drums to "zero" makes it easier to return to the actual sighted-in range zero if the need arises to make adjustments for windage and elevation. The mil dot reticle is great for making hold over easier for longer shots or compensating for the wind. Using the simple formulas the mil dots may also be used for determining range, distance between two horizontal points and vertical height. Excellent product for the money."

tasco 6-24 target varmit scope,October 2, 2008
By mottlyfrom Northern VA
"After bore sighting I went to the range. Started at 50yds. Got a group the size of a half dollar. Moved to 100 yds. First shot down about 1/2" then half dollar grouping. I did use hand loads and bench rest. Very satified with this scope."

TASCO Varmit Scope Revew,September 13, 2008
By greytomfrom Charlotte, NC
"I mounted the Tasco Varmit Scope on a .223 Mini-14 and sighted in on a bench. At 100 yards a 3 shot group was about 2 inches which I expected at 6 power for this rifle; I moved the scope to 12 power and shot several more 3 shot groups. The group spread remained consistant, but the group moved up and to the right 9 inches. This was repeaded several times going from 6 power and back to 12 power. I concluded the scope was defective and was not suited for varmits or much else. I returned the scope and will decide between the Leupold VX1 or Busnell 3200 Elite."

Lemon ?,June 22, 2008
By pb109from Colorado
"A friend put this scope on a Remington 7mm magnum after a local dealer reccomended this scope saying it worked well on his 50 bmg rifle. I dont know if this is routine for this model or he got a Lemon but the scope broke on the very first shot. Not the 10th or 100th shot the very first one. Not good."

Great scope,May 14, 2008
By goldtenderfrom Everson, WA
"After buying this scope I probably will never get a different one. It works great for air rifles before this I had a scope FOR air rifles, but this is way better. I can put a pellet in the same hole a 20 yards over and over again. It also is very clear and the 42mm it gives you has good light transmition. The bad things are it's pretty long and a little heavy, but other than that it's great."

Good scope for the money,March 12, 2008
By markthesharkbu07from Buckhannon, W.V
"I have this scope on my 7mm mag. The only problem i have is that it took me awhile to get it dialed in. Once it was dialed in at 50yds and then 100yds 1inch +. I shot tight patterns about 1/2 dollar groups resting on a tree at 100yds."
