"the safety on my 10/22 rubs the stock on the "safe" side. It's a little more difficult to switch on the safety than it should be, you have to force it a bit. Other than that it's great - especially for the price!"

"I bought this stock just to change the look of my stock 10/22. It was a breeze to install and it doesn't look bad either.May look alittle cheezy but its pretty stout.I have fired about 500rds through my rifle with this stock so far and with no problems as of yet.For the price i paid it was worth the cash and its also a little lighter than the stock piece. I would recomend it for a first time mod.Easy and cheap."

OLd .303 No.4 Mk. 1 looks like a new sport rifle,July 18, 2008

"Alittle confusion at first with Cabelas's stock #'s for my gun. If you have a No.4Mk1 303, it is a different stock # than theNo.1 Mk3 gun. ATI's stock # for the No.4 Mk1 is #ENF 0041. Cabelas's # IJ-22-1265 says that it fits both guns (No 1 Mk3 and No 4 Mk 1, but it doesn't. Ask Cabelas to special order the stock from ATI. After I received the correct stock it only took a half hour and a little "adjusting" to install the stock. I had to cut the small " bridge" out for the rear of the forearm so the trigger housing would seat correctly. This was recommended by ATI and worked well. Great looking stock and better shoulder fit than original wood stock. I'll be ordering a ATI scope mount next and a scope. Again, there are TWO different scope mounts. Cabelas only list one for both guns. ATI #ENF0141 for the No.4 Mk1 303. Cabelas was very helpful in getting the correct item quickly"

"This is not a DROP IN STOCK!!!! However after a few hours of work I am well pleased. For the money, its a honey and it looks, feals and preforms great. I would recomend that you get a gun smith to fit it to your Enfield. Would I buy another stock from ATI?.... You bet!"

"This stock/forearm fit my 1919 SMLE No. 1, MKIII with only the slightest of modifications (shaving off about 1/16" of a corner in the portion of the stock inserting into the barrel connection). Given the large number of foundries and slight variations in parts used in reworking, that's really commendable! The finished job looks excellent, and comes to shoulder much more comfortably than the original. Now, to see how it holds up on the range! At this point, I would heartily recommend this to anyone who, like me, has a previously poorly sporterized version of this legendary arm with limited collector value."

"Unlike some of the other reviewers, I found the Advanced Technology Enfield stock to be of very good quality and a real bargain for the price. The fit, while not perfect, was about as good as one might expect for something right out of the box. All it takes is a little filing on the end of the butt portion of the stock where it engages the receiver of the Enfiield to get a perfect fit. It does a good job of enhancing the appearance of the old Enfield as well."

"I can see how this stock would make it difficult to shoot without a scope, but I could care less. This is a great deal in my opinion. I have a scope mounted on my 10/22 along with the BSA laser/light combo. This makes for a sweet varmint hunting set up. Also, each shooter can be different, but for me the pistol grip has improved my accuracy. I highly recommend this to anyone using a scope and wanting to convert to a pistol grip at an reasonable price."

"Unlike the other reviews, I find very little to be dissatisfied with. I've had no problems with my stock at all. Some checkering on the grip and fore end would be nice, but in my opinion, a great value for the money. It's true that the stock works much better with a scope, but I don't know very many people who are shooting with open sights any more."

"This stock consists of two parts. One is actually bolted to the underside of the gun the other simply snaps over the barrel. The piece that snaps over the barrel kept coming loose. The cheek rest may work with a scope, but for open sights it is to tall. I had to force my cheek against it in order to line up with the sights. Very poor quality product and I ended up putting the factory stock back on my 10/22."

"This stock installs very easily and feels solid and secure on the rifle. My target groups were not as good at first because the trigger break "feels" different due to the pistol grip. This greatly improved with brief practice. When stalking for small game the rifle handling is very good; comfortable and quick acquiring the target. Drawbacks are the rear of the stock is just a skeletal frame demanding the addition of a cheekpad, also the butt end is narrow, short, and not padded in any way making it a bit uncomfortable on the shoulder when aiming. There's no checkering or accents at all, its plain, though I do like the look of the barrel vents at the fore end. Using the iron sights is not an option with this stock, you must use a scope. If the rear end of the stock was filled in, the butt made longer and wider, and the whole thing prettied up just a bit, you might have the best synthetic stock available for the 10/22 standard barrel rifle. Overall, as it is now, it's a serviceable and durable product well worth the price. Lastly, because parts of the stock snap together I'm a little concerned about removal if I decide to change to another stock again later."
