"THis gun is more fun then Ive had in a long time. Very powerfull round that is easy and fun to shoot. Fits on all stock lowers. Ammo is the only problem it isn't cheap and is hard to find. If your into reloading this is a fun bullet as there are plenty of 'em to choose from. Great fun gun looking to use it for pig in Nor Cal and Florida."

"I recently purchased the Beowulf upper and am impressed with the quality of fit and function so far. I am collecting components to reload using the supplied data from Alexander Arms and I have been impressed with their support communications. I will mate the upper with a Rock River lower and a Timney 3 lb trigger that is crisp and rugged. I am also using the Alexander Enidine buffer and a quality Tactical carbine stock with "friction lock" system. I plan to use this as a lightweight field gun for protection while hiking and home defense if ever needed. Ammo continues to be an issue but I know that Alexander Arms is diligently persuing outsourse Manufacturers to rectify this issue. I think it will be resolved sooner than later. I will use a flip up sight set mounted to the Picatinny gas block and the receiver flat top but will look at laser, flashlight and Halosight options later on. This rifle will have good accuracy and energy beyond 100 yards but will be primarily used for defensive situations under 50 yards. I expect this .50 cal round will be an exquisite big game hunter as well due to accuracy, impact energy and lower velocity = less static shock. I will still practice with my .223 for CQ training due to better recoil control but you will not need to "double tap" your trigger with the Beowulf. One shot = one knockdown. This gun will be impressive at the range, guaranteed. BOOM!"

"After placing my order with Cabela's for the much anticipated Beowulf, I finally received it a couple of months after I ordered it. Although the product may be good, good luck finding ammo. That is probably due to the current Administration.... I hope."

"I own several "AR" type rifles in different cals. I have shot many of the larger cal. rounds The 50 beo upper drops right in the 5.56 lower The performance of the round as well as the control on that platform is nice. If you shoot the 330 grain or the 400 grain rounds.....you'll enjoy the "report" down range future weapons (disc. channel) report can be found on the web."

"Recently purchased the 50 Beowulf entry kit. Fit and finish on my Rock River Arms lower was perfect. Added an EOTech for an optic and WOW! Pure power from the AR platform. I shot the 334 gr. FMJ and 334 gr. HP. Shooting sub MOA @ 100 yards. Recoil is managable at the equilivent of 20ga. shotgun. Should be quite a performer on bear and hogs. Looking at the muzzle is like looking down a stovepipe, quite intimidating. Also added a light and lazer on a vertical front handgrip for a personal defense gun. THIS IS IT!!!! Would highly recommend this upper. Ammo can be tough to get, so order enough and if you really like to shoot, be prepared to relaod, ammo seems pricey, but you are getting, ALOT OF BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!!"

"I ordered my Beowulf .50 Entry Kit from Cabela's in October of 2007. Product arrived on time and as advertised. I was putting the Beowulf on my post ban Colt HBAR Match Target Rifle ar-15. My Colt has the block over the safety and the Beowulf bolt carrier would not move past that point. Not happy about the prospect of having to buy another lower to make the Beowulf function I called Alexander Arms. I spoke to their gunsmith and he told me to use my Colt bolt carrier with the Beowulf bolt. Problem solved. He also assured me that there would be no damage to either platform by interchanging parts. Sixty rounds later, no problems to report. Off to the range to zero in. Firing 400gr. Alexander Arms soft point bullets I was able to fire a 1.1" cloverleaf at 100 yards. Recoil was way less than I was anticipating, along the lines of a 30-06 firing 180gr. bullets. I don't think it needs the optional muzzle brake, the noise is not worth the minimal recoil reduction. I took it out hunting in Shenandoah County Virginia over Thanksgiving. Harvested a button buck and a doe. One shot stops with devastating results and accuracy. I am very pleased with the Beowulf and the versatility it gives my ar-15, it is no longer relegated to just a varmint and small game gun."
