41 Rem. Mag. Berry's plated bullets,October 29, 2009
By bossmacfrom Moses Lake. WA
"Weight & construction (shape) uniformity is excellent. Velocity (chonographed) averages 1215 fps w/7.8 Gr. Unique through 14" Contender. Able to shoot 4" 5 shot groups @100 yds.w/scope & sandbag rest. This makes a very economical & accurate load w/ mild recoil.I'll be shooting a lot of this stuff."

More bang for the buck,October 20, 2009
By madmike45from Chicago
"Shooting IPSC takes a lot of reloading. Sometimes a bullet change can be a problem.
I have found the Berry's bullet to load to the same profile and dimensions as the more costly name brands for a lot less bucks. Plating is well done with a nice polish. Accuracy is as good as with any other I have used."

Berry's Bullets,October 9, 2009
By 3240Winfrom Bath Springs, TN
"I purchased a box of these for hand loading for a .45 Colt. They provided decent accuracy and were easy to load. My latest Barry's purchase was a box of 40 cal for use in my .40 S&W semi auto pistols. Again easy to physically load, but quite difficult to find power charge data for these and other plated bullets. Since the price is no more favorable than some jacket bullets of this caliber, I think it would be worthwhile for Barry's to invest the time and money to develop loads specifically tailored to their bullets."

Berry's JHP,October 7, 2009
By mottly3mfrom Portland, OR
"Just tried the 180gr JHP's in my 10mm. Very good uniformity and loadability. Very good accuracy for lower cost practice ammo. Would not drive these fast or expect outstanding terminal performance. No disappointments with this purchase."

Good for the price, BUT NOT FOR MATCH SHOOTING,September 26, 2009
By Vladimirefrom Elyria, OH
"Okay I've read these reviews, and I have loaded these bullets, so now I will add my two cents. First THESE ARE NOT MATCH QUALITY BULLETS. Those of you purchasing these bullets expecting match quality will be disappointed. For the rest of us who love to shoot and hunt, these bullets work just fine.
I have reloaded the 45ACP 200Gr. round nose flat point. One of my loading manuals by Lee has 200Gr. copper jacketed loading info. And I use the 124Gr. round nose flat point for 9mm. The Lee, Hornady, and Sierra books have loads for this weight in copper jacket. I have had good luck by adding the lowest charge weight and the highest charge weight. I take that answer and then divide by 2. This will give you the mid range load that Berry's recommends. I have even gone as far as dividing the added number by 3 which will give you the 2/3 load. But this would be the max I would go for charge weight given this style of bullet.
Anyway the rounds I have loaded using this method work well and have given me good accuracy. They shoot lower than standard factory loads but that is to be expected. And I ALWAYS SIZE MY BULLETS BEFORE LOADING. Doesn't matter if they are lead, copper plated, or copper jacketed. This will help to insure function and reliability. Those who do not do this should seriously consider not reloading, especially for a semi auto. And after all is said and done, I use my gauges by Dillon to check the sizing of the entire round before boxing them up for use. Those that do not pass this final step, get pitched, as I do not want any accidents or failures when on the range. So far being this meticulous has served me well as I have not had any problems so far with any of my hand loads."

.38spl. user application,September 24, 2009
By mrbtraveler
"These are the first bullets that I chose in starting out reloading. The first thing to catch my eye was the style and the way the product was presented(packaging).I am using win 231 powder and the 125gr.FP.My starting out at 4.3gr of powder was low! I called a rep for Berry's and advised me to kick it up to around 4.8-5.0.Maybe, if I later pick up some 158gr.fp/hp, then I can stay back down at the 4.3gr. setting. They loaded very smooth in my RCBS spl. 5 reloader; putting on, as Berry's mfg. suggested, a mild roll crimp;since there is no cannelure on the bullet. They also stated that these bullets are not recommended for magnum loads without creating problems. Will need to work with load to get better accuracy and my shooting skills. Price at the store also was an incentive to try a box for target at the range. If I were shooting an auto pistol and could make sure I got my taper crimp right-these would be the bullets of choice!"

Suprise Discovery,September 18, 2009
By NWHunterfrom Washington State
"I went to Lacey, WA to buy my usual bullets and saw Berry's sitting on the shelf in 45 ACP in, whats to me, an uncommon configuration for 45 ACP; 185 gr RN. My HD doesn't like SWC or FN and the only way I get the lower weight bullet that would feed well was in RN. Then I discovered Berrys RNHBDS. Now I have a 185 grain, ROUND NOUSE, slug, with its weight forward and better projectile length that the stubby little HNs and it runs out ahead of 5.2 gr of Unique very sweetly! Its a great target round, producing easy to manage recoil while still operating the action. I've run through about 1K rounds so far and am about to buy more. I am shooting the best groups ever now, mostly because the gun is a bit easier to handle."

Berry's,September 14, 2009
By Ryan73from Denver, CO
"I purchased 9mm, 40cal, and 45 cal in a couple difference configurations (RN, FP, and HP) and weights. All so far work good... slight variation in weight (example I weighed 25 124 gr 9mm and they ranged from 123.7 to 124.2) but work good for target shooting and plinking so far (loaded a little over 2k and shot about 1k so far)"

berry's bullets,September 13, 2009
By thomas63from Austin texas
"after reading some of the reviews I can't help but to put my two cents in. I have used berry's bullets for years and have had very good results. when I read the negative comments about the performence of these bullets it appears that it was operator error of the reloader not the bullet. tom in austin"
