Nice brass, but pricey,

"The Norma brass is also NOT 7.62 x 54mm. It is 7.52 x 53mm, as its headstamp indicates. Not that it doesn't work -- this is a rimmed cartridge and it doesn't headspace on the mouth so who cares, but I thought I would mention it. 7.62 x 53mm is the Finnish version. Anyway, like I said, great brass, but pricey."

"Do you have any idea how hard this brass was to find? I've used many different types of Norma Brass over the years and it is always excellent. Now I can actually shoot my beautiful little carbine and as always the brass took very little preparation before loading and it fits the chamber perfectly. The group with the load I designed is minute of angle. Thank you so much."

"Excellent uniformity. Flash holes need no de-burring. Trims acurately and each one is uniform and weight variances are minimal. Will be using trimed cases in a 45 - 2.4 sharps and would recommend this brass rather than the "too short" brass offered by other manufacturers for top accuracy and minimal leading in the important chamber/throat area. I don't mind the head stamp of 45 - 120 because I know what I'm shooting!"

"I just purchased 100 rnds of Norma 6.5-.284 brass for a project gun. All the brass was very consistant in wgt., case length, primer pocket and flash hole. I had very little to do prior to loading. While I won't use this brass for compettition the quality is very good for working up loads, hunting, and a little varmint work. Good stuff!"

Norma 45-120 Brass,

"I found that the head of the shell casing is not concentric. I have a Pedersoli Sharps reproduction rifle. When I first tried to insert an empty case, fresh out of the bag, the ctg. head (rim) hung up on the loading ramp to the rear of the breech block. I found that if I turned the case clockwise a few degrees they would then chamber easily. After some experimentation and measurements, I found that the case rim is not exactly centered with the case wall. For now I can make this work by using a permanent laundry marker and marking all my cases so they insert with the mark at the 12 o'clock position. This is not what you really want to do in a hunting situation where you might need a quick second shot. That is the reason for the 3-star rating. I have talked with a gunsmith and he proposed releaving the loading ramp a few thousandths so I don't have the orintation issue when loading a round into the chamber. I'm considering this solution as I bought 300 of these cases and am planning on shooting the gun."
