"This vest is better than I expected. Very well made and tons of pockets. It is bit heavier than I expected, which makes it a little unconfortable in really hot weather, but still one of my better purchases. I hate to have my pockets stuffed full of things so this is a way to carry my camera, wallet, car keys and all manner of things securely without being weighed down."

"This is my forth vest and I use them for travel and for pistol shooting. Wonderfully convenient when you have travel documents to carry, although I sometimes forget which pocket they're in. This one is well made and my one regret is that it's not sold in Navy blue. Lots of browns and shades of green, but no blue (Cabelas, take note). Highly recommend."

"As a long time user of hunting/photo/travel vests, I've always enjoyed having extra pockets. So I never expected to be complaining about having too many. The Cabela's Safari Vest is well constructed with strong material, and is very well priced. (A similar Orvis vest with thinner material cost me way more, and wore out in 2 years.) However, this vest has been over designed, with too many pockets, clips, etc., making it too heavy and cumbersome. Why have 3 to 4 large pockets all overlapping right on top of one another? After cutting out and sewing up several pockets, removing a goofy metal clip on the shoulder (what was that for?), I finally have a very useful vest, that still has plenty of pockets. With a thoughtful redesign, this could be an excellent product."

"I like the vest. I would recommend it to anyone.
I have the vest on evertime I hit the gun range. I shoot High Power Rifle, Trap and Pistol.
Pro's It has a lot of pockets
Con's It has a lot of pockets and the pockets are DEEP, you can weigh yourself down very fast.
The side adjustment straps don’t stay attached. After 3 to 5 minutes you have to reattach them. Another review talked about sewing Velcro to the straps to hold them in place. I’m trying to get the wife to bust out the sewing machine."

"I received the safari vest I ordered and was pleased with the quality. The fabric is cool and light--not a bit stiff. The ventilated back panel is invisible, yet provides plenty of ventilation. The pockets are handy for GPS, extra batteries, cellphone, PDA--whatever! Keep it loaded, by the door and you're ready to go. I'm in Minnesota and wear vests a lot in the Spring-Fall-Winter. Now I have a Summer vest."

"I got this vest to use as a photographer when I went on vacation. We went to Disney for a week. It held all of my gear. It was comfortable even in the 95 degree heat. It looks cool. It is very functional. I kept finding new pockets in it every day! I will continue to use it for outdoor adventures as well. It will hold everything you need and many things you don't.
