"First of all, you will not get a perfect cover unless you go to an upholstery shop and have one custom made for about a thousand dollars, so don't expect any cover to fit perfectly. This is a good price (I got it on sale) for a great cover. I purchased it because it has so many straps. It is important to me to protect my boat from the elements, so more straps keep it more secure, also more work, but that is ok with me. I purchased one an extra foot long because I have a bow mounted trolling motor and I enjoy the extra material. I cut off my straps from my old cover because I prefer belly straps (easier and faster to put on) but their are plenty of quality straps included which mount to the trailer frame. The motor cover is a one size fits all unfortunately, but there is no way for the manufacturer to know what size motor you have and this one will probably fit a 200 hp. Use bunjees to tighten it up. The material feels really heavy duty and I am happy with it. I don't like the light color because it will stain easily, but I think they chose it to keep the boat as cool as possible. A dark color probably gets very hot inside in the sun and atleast this shouldn't fade much like my last one. With the extra foot size, I even manage to pull it up over the motor cover and there is enough material for supports underneath, still overlaps about one foot all around. I don't trailer my boat with the cover on, but with all the straps, I am sure that it would ride well if the motor cover is secured with a few bunjees. I think that this is a great cover and I did a lot of research to find a good, economical cover. Thanks Cabela's."
"I bought this cover about four months ago and have since towed my boat with it on for about 6,000 miles. I have a 17.5 foot bass tracker, but I put anchor mates on the front and back so I could not use a custom, or semi-custom, cover.
It already has several holes and some of the seems have unraveled. One of the fasteners broke as well.
From the first time I put it on, I was very careful to pad all sharp edges (trolling motor, windshield, cleats, anchor mates, etc). I used pipe insulation and foam rubber. I cinch it down tight to try and prevent it from flapping, but it does anyway. I tried putting my old canvas boat cover underneath to protect it, but it still tears.
The 7-year manufacturers "warranty" is a joke. It has so many loopholes in it that it is clear the manufacturer has no intention of replacing anything.
Bottom line, this is a flimsy cover and does not last for towing. It may be just fine for storage, but that's not why I bought it."

"Sloppy fit, even though boat measurements and stated size of cover were an exact match. If cover had been ordered a foot longer for the bow mounted trolling motor, as suggested in the info for the cover, it might have reached the trailer. Very light. Dont think it would stand any trailering. Cover is not water proof. Directions state after a rain you should uncover the boat and let it dry. Don't think it will last very long. Under normal use."

"Liked the cover light and easy to use, tie downs good, liked the rachet tight feature however this is a 7yr cover only lasted 2yrs. Cover rotted and ripped in several places, strap webbing also rotted Cabelas good service replaced at no charge. Thank you. Quality of materials needs to be better."

"I purchased this cover as a replacement for the same cover I purchsed several years ago. It has lasted longer than any other cover I have owned. It holds up well to the ultaviolet sun damage. My wife says the previous cover stretched from snow buildup and after that developed low spots that colleced water that I had to drain. No low spots in this one yet but it hasn't been through it's first winter."

"This is a heavy duty cover that includes a motor cover. The rope rachet device works well. I haven't had it through a major storm yet, so I can't say how water "resistant" it is. I have no doubt it will protect my boat from the intense summer Arizona sun though. I don't plan on driving with the cover on, but it seems like it could handle that well. It it a little tight, so maybe the next larger size would have worked better on my boat, which has dual consoles and a bow mounted trolling motor. I got a tan cover that blends with our Scottsdale, Arizona colors well. Oh, and it looks nice too, my wife said to add."

"While the actual boat cover is fine, the motor cover in all honestly is unacceptable. I used it 1 time. I tied the draw string as tight as I could. 45 minutes into my drive, I looked back, and no motor cover. It blew off somewhere down the road. I figured this was my loss so I did not contact Cabela's for any type of reimbursement. You need to find a better way to secure the motor cover to the motor versus relying on the current design."
