"I purchased a Boga Grip a year ago and would recommend it over any other lip gripping tool. I have tried the Berkley and Rapala version and returned them both. The Boga Grip cost a lot more, but you do get what you pay for. The boga grip is extremely smooth and will not lose a big fish. I have used it on 25# pike in canada and it performed flawlessly. If you are a serious fisherman, spend the money and buy the original Boga Grip. One recommendation would be to attach a small rope and a float to the laynard in case you drop it in the lake. When a really big fish flops and spins, it is difficult to hold on to it."

"I mainly use Boga's for Trout and Walleye. They are great for fishing with kids and getting their picture. They are expensive but as long as you don't drop them overboard they should last forever. Once you use these you will not be able to go back to a cheap set."

"boga grip was as advertised. It weighed my first cobia and grouper accurately and held the fish as it was supposed to and the release worked great and stainless steel feature was great for salt water."

"I was looking for an accurate scale and grip. Although pricey, the Boga Grip was my choice. The accuracy of the scale is great! The swivel grip , missing on the competition, is a must for handling thrashing fish. I originally purchased the (15 lb Weight) grip but felt that it was too small for handling larger fresh water fish."

"This tool is an absoloute must when hard water fishing the extreme tempuratures in Saskatchewan and Alberta. The tool not only allows you to safely handle and weigh the fish it keeps their eyes and gills protected from freezing. The tool is rugged and stands up. I have reduced the quantity of spare gloves i used to pack onto the lake."

"The Boga Grip I purshased works beautifully. It costs a little more than some of the "want-a-bes" but the difference is well worth it. I had no trouble landing a 9 1/4lb. bass at Lake Fork the other day and the weight scale on the grip was right on."

"I purchased the Original Boga Grip from Cabelas in Nov 07. I use my Boga for inshore saltwater fishing. I normally wade fish and have found the Boga to be an invaluable tool.
