"I am happy with the fit and durability of my cartridge belt; that being said I feel the oil treatment on the leather is excessive. I set the belt (with 2 matching holsters) on a piece of newsprint in the box I received the belt and holsters in and overnight the newsprint had discolored from the oil seepage from the belt. I purchased this belt (and holsters) as an intermediate step as I work with leather and plan on making a custom set for myself for future use. I'm using the belt (and holsters) for Cowboy Action Shooting and Cowboy Fast Draw as well. The quality of the workmanship is very good but I find the leather not quite stiff enough for my taste. All in all, this is a great belt (in combination with the companion holsters) at a good price for anyone wanting to get started in Cowboy Action or Cowboy Fast Draw competition."

"The double drop cartridge belt is not as pictured online. Cross-draw holsters do not work with this belt & should be mentioned in the description. The product appears to be great but I had to return it because it did not suit my needs."

"This holster has the classic look of the REAL Old West - as opposed to Hollywood Westerns - and a price tag that won't break the bank. I've been using it for CAS for several months now with a pair of Hunter Double-Loop holsters. My 8-inch 1858 Remingtons carry and draw comfortably and smoothly."
