65/35 cotton/poly safari shirt,February 23, 2010
By glen14from Admiral, Tx
"These shirts are wonderful. I have one in every color in long and short sleve. Just pull it out of the dryer, hang it up and it looks just like it came from the cleaners. They can be used in the field, on the water or for casual dress."
"I have to disagree with people who stated the shirt sizes ran big. I am 6'2, 195lbs. and a Large fit perfectly. An XL would have been too big. And the shoulder straps seem fine too. The shirt does seem "noisy" when you're moving about."
Like the old Serengeti Shirts better,January 8, 2010
By brandoninaz
"I bought a couple of these shirts as an alternative to the old Serengeti Safari shirt. The shirt doesn't break in as nicely. Its style is too clean cut to still look nice once it's well worn and a little scraped up. BRING BACK THE SERENGETI SHIRTS!!!"
New supplier not as good as the old one,January 7, 2010
By Montani42from West Virginia
"Our club uses the 65/35 Cotton/Polyester tan Safari Shirts as our official shirt. We have them embroidered locally. We have used these shirts for years and have always appreciated their quality and fit. We still buy them, but apparently there has been a new supplier since 2008. The cut is larger and the buttons are not sewn on well. That is a shame, because our organization would be buying them for years for all our members. Cabelas should immediately go back to the quality and fit they had in 2007 for these shirts. They are still good shirts, but they were once great shirts. These are the same shirts worn by our state Department of Natural Resouces officers and they are having the same problems with the changes since 2007."
"I have had another (gold color) safari shirt for several years and have certainly had a lot of good use out of it... Recently I ordered another safari, this one desert brush in color, What I received is a drab brown and does not appear to match the desert brush color displayed on-line. I will return it but the other color options are not optimal eiither. Why are not any bright color options available, like the gold one I still treasure?"
LONG SLEEVE SAFARI SHIRT,November 24, 2009
By JM1944from ALABAMA
"I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE BUTTONS COMING OFF. THE FIRST TIME I WORE ONE OF THE SHIRTS A BUTTON CAME OFF THE POCKET. ON ONE OF THE OTHER SHIRTS I BOUGHT A BUTTON CAME OFF THE EPAULET THE FIRST TIME IT WAS WASHED. OTHER THAN THAT THE SHIRTS ARE OF GOOD QUALITY AND ARE ATTRACTIVE."
"I really have found the cut and feel of these shirts to be great. The fit is good, ordered 2X and it goes around my hearty waist. I ordered three and now ordering two more. The tan has a rich look to it and has gotten several comments."
High Quality,October 30, 2009

"Just pulling the shirt out of the package I could tell it was well made. Add the fact that it's comfortable and looks good, and this shirt is a winner.
The sizes do run big. I'm between a medium and a large and I was swimming in the large. If you have any doubt about which size to get, order the smaller one."
Long Sleeve Safari Shirt - Regular/Medium,October 19, 2009
By JerryMacfrom Portland, Oregon
"It is obvious that you have changed vendors for this fine product. I have many of these shirts from previous orders. From this order I received a shirt which was measurably larger than the previous Regular/Medium shirts which I received from you. It did not fit as well, nor does the material appear to be of the super quality that I have enjoyed in the past.
I would appreciate a reply from Cabela's as to my observations. Until I receive you input I will not purchase any more of these shirts which I considered top-of-the-line."
disappointed,September 30, 2009
By troyhfrom TEXAS
"I have several (both long and short sleeve) of the older "Serengeti" safari shirts, which I REALLY like, and I was disappointed when I saw that these shirts were no longer on the Cabela's website. So I bought this one. Unlike the Serengeti shirt which was 100% cotton, this one is a slick, shiny 65/35 polyester/cotton blend . . . on the website, it LOOKS like its the same type of shirt as the Serengeti shirt, with a different style of pockets, and if that was the case, then I would be fine with it. But the slick material I'm not impressed with."
safari shirt,August 18, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Encino CA
"I was extremely disappointed in this shirt. After one washing the button area showed that it was sitched poorly and the placart area where the buttons were sewn on racked out of shape. I did not expect such lack of quality in a Cabela's shirt costing this much. Other than that the shirt is heavy duty fabric but also could stand to be more wrinkle resistant."
Unbelievably Great Shirts,August 17, 2009

"I ordered three of these shirts and found them to be tremendously comfortable and stylish. I had many comments from my coworkers and my wife on how the shirts fit and looked so good. I'll definitely be ordering more!"
Brilliant Safari Shirts!!!,July 14, 2009
By Methos6848from Orlando, FL, USA
"I recently ordered six long sleeve safari shirts, one in each of the available colors and an additional 'stone' colored shirt. My initial order of six XL sized shirts had to be exchanged. These shirts were definitely larger than my measurements as they erroneously corresponded with the size chart suggestions. Be warned, these shirts run quite large!
Before exchanging my six XLs, I purchased an additional stone colored shirt in size L. Upon recieving that shirt, I was delighted to discover that it fit me perfectly. I then went ahead with exchanging my original order of six XLs for six Ls. The exchange was absolutely hassle free and I'm extremely happy with my safari shirts.
It should be noted, that all seven of my shirts appear as advertised on this website. Not a single one of them has an embroidered 'Cabela's' logo over the left pocket or the right for that matter.
Having worn my stone colored shirt a few times, I can attest to its comfort, amidst the oppressive heat we endure here in Central Florida in midsummer. I was skeptical of the breathablity of these shirts, due to the high polyester count. I would honestly prefer these shirts were either cotton or linen. Yet, having worn one, I have no complaints whatsoever.
I would highly recommend this shirt to anyone seeking a practical, well made safari shirt! I've enjoyed these shirts so much, that I just might buy some in short sleeves as well."
