"I have used this lure on the Potomac River in Md and also on the Chesapeake Bay. The Potomac is a Blue Ribbon River for Smallmouth Bass and it has worked great for me. (even in the dog days of summer). I also use these same lures for Striped Bass in the Chesapeake Bay and have great sucess with them. They seem to work no matter what area I fish. Salt water has had an effect on the hooks but I can always change them."

"I bought a dozen different Rapala lures a month ago, after not having fished for 20 years, to get back into it. My favorite lure, was the shallow shad rap (size 7 in baby bass), until it got snapped off my line by a 5 or 6 pound catfish as I was trying to get it up onto the bank. I watched the lure disappear into the darkness attached to the fish with a tear in my eye. I caught many a fish with it. It never got snagged and was a real fish magnet. I've ordered a replacement of course."

"I use Rapala Shad Rap most of time while trolling for Walleye and Saugeye here in Ohio. They work very well for the shallow lake. I use the SSR7 for the lake i fish most is 5-8 feet. My only complaint has been with the with the Hot Pearch they came out with but no longer handle or make. It won't stay down when trolling. Iwould you try these lures for they are producing very well for me. RRVH"
