"I have looked everywhere for 1/8 and 1/16 oz jigs with bigger hooks for walleye fishing. Most of the time, bucktail jigs work best for me tipped with a minnow. Since I could not find any jigs in these weights with big enough hooks, I thought I would try these and tie my own bucktail jigs. I simply bend the barb down with a pair of pliers, paint the heads, and I bought a cheap vise and tying equipment (probably thirty dollars in total). I now outfish all my fishing partners. Finding the lighter weight jigs with hooks as big or bigger than my minnows has made all the difference in the world in hookups. I don't think I get more hits, but I definitely connect more often. I give these jigs 5 stars even though I'm not using them for what they were intended."

"I have used many types of jig heads the past 25 years of fishing. For a store bought item they come with the sharpest hooks of any that I have ever had. I will be using these in the future with all my tube baits."
