"Cabela's needs to carry more sizes of this bait. I've caught many crappies on the 1 1/2 inch black shad. I fish it on a plain #4 hook."

"The action of this bait is perhaps the best of all small jerk baits. I use the 4", have tried the 7", but just to big for fresh water application. Other jerk baits may look the same, but the action can't be duplicated! If I could only bring three baits out with me to fish a big tournament, this would be one of them. Right now Cabela's color selection is a bit limited, a litttle trick is to order the light colors and mix them in with your favorite colored plastics for a few weeks and the colors will bleed and create some awesome custom colors. This bait works best with no weights but will only run about a foot deep. If you need to bring it down, an insert nose weight woks best while effecting the action the least. Don't waste your money on insert weights! Go to the local hardware store and buy different size ring nails and just snip off the heads. I prefer to use "finish" nails because the small head adds a little extra weight and the smooth suface won't risk cutting my line. I have never had one slide out of any plastic baits. Once you try these baits, you'll be "Hooked", along with a few more fish!!!
