Squeaky,August 14, 2009
By pearson1662
"I've had these shoes for about six months now and they still squeak when I walk. The shoe strings are shabby looking low quality leather and the toe box on my right shoe is misshapen (looks like it has a tumor). On the other hand, I have narrrow feet and like the comfort and fit of the shoe. The padded collar is quite a bit lighter than the rest of the shoe but it doesn't bother me. I would not buy these shoes again."

Too large for small females,June 17, 2009
By Meemsterfrom Little Rock, AR
"Binocs were returned - not adjustable small enough and they were heavy too. For a petite female w/a small head and close set eyes, these just would not work. Focus not adjustable (pre-set) was my husband's complaint but the fit was the reason we returned them. Although the view seemed sharp enough for my casual use, to his more expert hunter's eyes, it just wasn't clear and sharp enough."

Deepwater 3-eye Oxford,June 16, 2009
By Ouachitafrom Hot Springs (west central), Arkansas
"The first pair that I ordered evidently had a sewing/manufact- uring flaw in the tongue of the left shoe. However, after return- ing that pair and receiving a replacement pair, the new shoes fit perfectly and feel just great, with or without socks.
These shoes seem to me to be far better fitting, and better looking as well, than the last pair of "boat" shoes that I pur- chased, which happened to be Sperry Topsiders.
I would recommend these shoes to anyone."

What happened to the Oxfords I knew and loved?,May 21, 2009
By BillfromBoulderfrom Boulder, CO
"The other negative reviews of this new version of the Oxfords are correct. These are not the same quality of Oxfords I have purchased from Cabela's in the past. And that is unfortunate.
The flaps of these new Oxfords are much too short, so tug as you may on the laces, you'll never get them come together as they should. The effect is either that your feet get squished, or you walk around with the laces loose and have the unnerving sense that your feet are going to slip out of them. The opening for your upper foot is too small, too--another squish point.
I started with a D width, then exchanged them for an EE width. That did not help. I give up. I am sending the EE's back for a refund.
While they may look great on the outside, wearing these Oxfords is not a pleasant experience.
Please bring back the old version."

good shoe but...,April 30, 2009
By notthathappyfrom long island, NY
"I ordered these boat shoes and found them to be an excellent shoe. I found them to be very comfortable with a great fit. However after about one month the shoe lace broke, which doesn't seem like a big deal but it is woven through the back of the shoe not just through the eyelits. A big hassle to get leather laces then to weave it through the shoe. To bad the shoe laces only last one month."

Don't Buy Them,April 6, 2009
By SoreFeet2from Maine
"Most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn. Should have read the reviews before buying them. Besides being uncomfortable, they are very noisey when you walk, the gap between the lace eyes is extremely wide and appears odd, and the shoe was too short for what I ordered. I am sending them back. Very poor experience. And yes, the color of the leather at the back of the shoe is lighter than it appears on the website. It stands out like a sore thumb."

By satisfiedshoppperfrom Indian Mound, Tn
"My better half said they were the best gift he could of recieved, he has a hard time with shoes due to a narrow foot he wears a 11B which is not always easy to find, Travels alot for meetings said that it was nice to have a good looking pair of comfortable shoes that could be worn for casual or dress. 3 eye boat shoe,March 26, 2009
By chcabanfrom Atlanta GA
"Very difficult to find a good fitting shoe for a narrow foot and heel. These fit great. The leather was dry, thick, and stiff. After treating with Lexol and sitting overnight, the leather is just great. The laces are shabby and will fail soon. Due to the hassle of the user replacing leather laces, Cabela's should insist the supplier provide better laces or some will get turned off. With all the reviews here from wearers fo very narrow and very wide shoes, I wonder why finding them is so difficult."

Cheap quality, poor manufacturing,March 23, 2009
By classic57
"These shoes are flimsy and provide no support at all. What's more, the shoelace had been stitched into the shoe underneath the insole! This is the second defective pair of shoes which I have purchased from Cabela's, and I won't be ordering from them anymore."

"I love these boat shoes. I bought a pair and after wearing them a few days I bought another pair to have as a spare. I have a wide foot 13 4E and it's hard to find a good fit. They run true to size, I ordered the 13 4E and they fit great. I highly recommend them."

Deepwater 3-eye oxfords lacing not to size,December 4, 2008
By mikep3from Northeast Florida
"The left and right lace eyes are much too far apart, leaving the entire width of the tongue exposed. I'm sure this discrepancy occurs only on wide width shoes (2E and 4E), but it is very noticable and detracts from an otherwise fine shoe."
