"Tried one of these night fishing on the river. I was stunned at how quickly pike hit it but also smaller fish that couldn't engulf it. Many retrieves resulted in 10 plus strikes before I reeled all my line in. Very pleased with the lure and bought two more with gift cards I received for Christmas. I can't wait to use them!"

Bigger is Better at Night,September 3, 2008

"Have a bad heart ? Easily scared ? Then don't try this lure at night, as a 5 lb or better bass will scare the bejesus out of you when you pick it up from the water after a retreive. This is by far my No. 1 lure for night fishing here in central Pa. Black is the only color you need at night. Try different retreives until you get some action, then stick with that retreive. ( HINT ) A Plop Plop retreive isn't always the best, experiment. The frog color also works well in the daytime. If you can find it, the white belly is far superior to the yellow belly. Cast it to visible submerged weed beds and let it sit for as long as you can stand. Also, do not fish this lure without sharpening the hooks first. I use a diamond hook sharpener, but you could also use a file. Heavy tackle is a must. I prefer a 5500 or bigger reel with 20 lb. or heavier line. Have fun and remember. Let the big ones go so someone else can enjoy them as much as you did. Thanks to Cabelas for offering these."

"First night I used it, I caught a 6 lb. 22 inch large mouth bass. I'm very impressed with it and recommended it to my brother who inturn bought 5 of them. Wonderful product. I would say if u want to catch the big ones use the Arbogast XL Jitterbug and Cabela's was the only place we could find it."

"This is one of my favorite BIG BASS lures .The first time I used this lure my friend laughed at me and said what are you fish for sharks?After about an hour I was the one laughing.I had a 5,6 and a 11 when he said do you have another one? So if you like the regular jitterbug you'll love this one ,I prefer black ."
