"The CoPilot was incredibly easy to install. It took me 5 minutes or less. I spent 3 days over the weekend fishing walleyes at Glendo Reservoir in Wyoming and gave it a good try out. I only wish I had made this purchase 7 years ago when I bought my boat and Minn Kota 50# motor. No more big, bulky foot pedal and cable that is always tangled!!"

"I wish I would have bought one of these a long time ago. I put the remote on my rods and it works great. I also don't even have my foot pedal hooked up anymore. If you are thinking about one of these don't think anymore its worth it."

"Got it for my 81 year old Dad - and myself! So much easier than the foot pedal that my Dad took the foot pedal off and stored inside the boat. Now we just aim and click. The boat goes where we want it to instead of fighting the foot pedal. Freeing a hung-up line is so much easier. Recommend it to everyone!"

""I have been using my Legacy Minn Kota Wireless CoPilot for my 55PD over a year now and will never, ever go back to a corded foot pedal, a trolling motor with cable operated steering.... or even a wireless foot control pedal ! The convenience of being able to control my boat from anywhere onboard without having to go back to a "pedal," and not to have to sit and run a pedal all day long with my feet, and also not having to take my eyes of off lines or poles to control the trolling motor is money well spent in my books. Installation of the motor control unit is a breeze. I fish a LOT. An inexpensive CR2032 button cell (available everywhere) for the transmitter lasted me almost all season. You can configure the system to produce audible 'clicks' when the motor is on. I bought an extra remote so either of two people in my boat can control the trolling motor. This is a superior advantage when the lake is choppy, winds are blowing and one person has a big fish on. The rod mounts for the control are great. I'll suggest to buy a few extras. Slip the control unit in the rod mount (which zip-ties to your pole) and you have fingertip control of your boat.""

"the co-pilot system is one of the most practical items to come out for the fishing boat .It is so easy to use.I absolutely love it.I would recomend it to anyone who doesn't like having the wire from your trolling motor strung through your boat to trip on."

"The Wireless Copilot installed in about 1 minute. It screws on right over the exisitng side plate. The remote works real well and even with it mounted on my fishing rod it is easy to navigate. The three pole brackets they sent had zip tyes that seemed too weak. I made the mounting holes slightly bigger through the brackets and was able to put on some larger zip tyes which held the brackets much more firmly on the fishing rod. All in all I think this is a good system and it is great being able to move around the boat and still be able to control the direction."

"The Minn Kota Power Drive Wireless Copilot system was easy to install and works great. In a word it is AWESOME! I can control my boat from anywhere. I don't have to worry about getting to the foot control to turn. The remote mounts to a rod, wrist, or a belt loop which makes it very versatile. If you buy it, you will love it.

"Great product, easy to install and operate. Very handy to use when both hands are not necessary for the type of fishing being done.
I would suggest a power level indicator to allow the user to visually observe what setting the motor is on, 1 through 10. I did not find the included rod holder brackets to be very helpful, I use too many different rods in a weekend or even a day to make this option practical.
Overall a great product."

"The CoPilot is extremely handy and very functional. The only drawback that I have found at this point is that it is difficult to know if the motor is still running when at low speeds. An indicator light, while the motor is running, would be helpful."

"The Co Pilot was an unexpected aid in retrieving snagged baits. It seems more responsive than than the foot control for my trolling motor. Was able to move around weeds quickly to put my grandson in a position to catch his first "bigger" fish, a 22" Northern this fall. As it was installed late in the season I can't wait till next spring. One of my best ever fishing buys!"

"I'm using Minn Kota's PowerDrive trolling motor with the Autopilot feature and a Wireless CoPilot. This is my second Minn Kota system with the same features and I wouldn't trade it for anythiing. The PowerDrive/Autopilot combination really works well for the way I fish shorelines, and the wireless CoPilot makes it very easy to control the trolling motor from anywhere in the boat while drifting or trolling. The latest version of the Minn Kota Wireless CoPilot provides the same basic functions as the old foot operated version, only in a handheld control. While the controller functions as advertised, I found the foot operated version easier to use while fishing. I seldom have a free hand and trying to fumble with the little buttons doesn't allow the freedom of using your foot. Plus, it's easy to lay it down and forget where you put it! I still like the convenience of the wireless controller enough to recommend it, but I'd like to see a foot pedal option."
