"Just a smart thing to have. I fish in the Ocean and never know if a big wave is coming or if I might step in a hole. Anything that might buy me a couple extra seconds and keeps me from sinking from the bottom like a rock is worth a lot and this was only like $8.00"

"These belts are very comfortable around the waist.
There are wide enough for what ever a person wears with them.
I use one on my razor clam net around my middle.I can snug it up, so there's no slip.
For the price,a person can afford several.

"This belt is narrower and lighter in weight than my current wader belt. It is stretch elastic rather than nylon web. Maybe I misread the description but its not what I was expecting."

"I have had at least 3 of these and found them to be extremely functional. Not only might they help keep water out of your waders should you take a spill (although no belt can really claim to do a great job of that), for me they have another function, namely as attachment for my wading stick. No one over 50 should wade without a staff of some sort, and this belt makes a fine accessory to tie your stick's cord onto. The quick snap lock and stretch features of the belt are ideal for these functions. After about 5 years of hard use, the belt elastic may weaken but that's the nature of elastic."

"This is an excellent Belt and will save your life if your wader tops go under water.
This is such an important safety device. I have had waders fill up with water before and it creates an immediate emergency situation. If you cannot swim well the additional fifty pounds of weight the water inside the waders creates in just seconds can pull you under or make walking almost impossible. This Belt does the job very well and is comfortable at the same time. I highly recommend every set of waders has one."
