"I'm an outdoor writer and fishing guide in Northern California. I've been using the Seaguar Carbon Pro for several years. I use it as leader/tippet material, saving a lot of money by buying the 200 yard spools rather than paying the same price for 30 yards of 'leader material'.
I use the 4-pound as fly-fishing tippet, and the 6 and 8 pound as leader material for trophy-trout trolling. Believe it or not, I caught a 20 pound lake trout trolling an AC plug with Seaguar 6-pound leader last fall on Lake Tahoe, and my largest laker ever was a 25 pounder, also from Tahoe, caught on 8-pound Seaguar.
I've also caught most of my large (5 to 8 pound), wild Tahoe rainbows and browns on this line. It's strong, reliable, invisible, and has a very small line diameter. The 6-pound is the diameter of most 4-pound lines, the 8-pound is the diameter of 6-pound, and so forth."
