"Like most fly fisherman I have a fishing vest with a lot of pockets. Eventually we fill all of those pockets with fly boxes and gadgets until our vests become a confusing pain in the neck, literally. I always find myself patting all of the pockets to find just what I need a the time. What I've found is that on most outings I only use so many of those gadgets and only one or two fly boxes. An experienced angler should be able pack just about everything he actually needs for a day's fishing in this pack. The main compartment has enough room for 2 Scientific Anglers fly boxes and a hard-shell glasses case. The front mesh pocket has enough room for 2 or 3 rolls of tippet material and the side and back pockets have enough room a small flashlight, hook sharpener, thermometer, floatant etc... The stick on fly patch is a nice touch. This pack could be improved by adding velcro to the tops of the front and rear pockets for extra security. If I were designing this pack I would have simplified it even further by making it a waiste pack only and leaving the neck strap off. An elasticized forceps holder would have been nice too."
