"As I've been a hunter and outdoorsman for 50 years, I am experiencing the increased sensitivity to cold hands that often comes with aging. The MT050 WindStopper Glomitt is the only glove or mitten that keeps my hands warm all day without the use of a disposable heat pack. I've also found that the magnetic catch that holds the Glomitt open is far superior to Velcro attachments on previous Glomitts. Great job, Cabela's!"

"Kept my hands suprisingly warm in temps into the 20's. Magnets to keep the mitt part held back are silent and do the trick. Nice to flip the mitt back and have the dexterity with open fingers when needed for shooting.

"Tested these in the field vs. the under armour derechos. Actually wore the derechos on one hand and the glomitts on the other. Light drizzle for 2-3 hours and the derechos were completely dry inside vs. the glomitts which were soaked!!! Not to mention the derechos was just as warm...if not warmer. I went back to return glomitts and by 2 derechos!!! Worth the $"

Best cold weather shooting gloves I've worn,August 26, 2009

"For really cold weather (I'd say under 20 degrees F) when you need to be able to shoot, these are the best gloves I've used yet. Have used mine for cold weather spring turkey, elk, and whitetail hunting. Very warm and you can add liner gloves or heat pack (to finger "pouch") for additional warmth. I did eventually rip the stitching on one glove, separating the finger pouch from the glove, but that was after much punishment. My wife sewed it back on and I used it for many seasons after that. Definitely like the magnet closure ... it's very quiet."

"I have tried several pairs of gloves for those cold mornings in the tree stand unable to find a pair I like. The first time I tried these gloves I knew these would be the last pair I'd try. These are the warmest gloves yet, plus I can pull back the mitt and get the dexterity I need. I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to grip my gun for the lack of a grip on the mitt, but that was not an issue. My only suggestion would be to make these gloves gore-tex."

"I bought these for a late season deer hunt on Marylands Eastern Shore, because the mittens I had been using just would not keep my hands warm. Temperature high was mid-20's with a stiff wind. These MT050's are the ticket. If you have cold hand problems, get yourself a pair. They are well made, quiet, easy to fold down to get your fingers on your firearm, and comfortable for all day use."

"So I originally ordered the gloves way back in early November and after 2 back orders I finally got the gloves the week after Christmas. I've always had the rag wool glomitts before and they only last one season so I thought I'd try something else for a change. This pair of gloves is already better for me because of it's wind and water resistance, and even though the material doesn't seem too rugged, they look like they'll be able to hold up for a second season and maybe a third if I don't abuse them too bad."

"The Glove-mitts allows you to access your fingers with out having to take off the glove-mitts like so many times you must do with regular gloves. The 150 grams of thinsulate along with your fingers being able to use the warmth of each other allows your hands to be warmers than the use of regular gloves.
Was looking for this tape glove for a while. Would highly recommend it to others. Bought a pair for me and my son."

"This mitt is poorly designed. the top does not have any way to stay over your fingers so if you do anything thing but stay still in a blind or stand your fingers get very cold. I used mine to snow blow the other day and it was bad. I had trouble with top of the mitten coming off and getting my fingers very cold."
