Good general value - good for rifle range usage,

"Dollar for dollar this is as good or better than any scope/case/tripod kit for under $100.00
Good for range use and the unit is really hardy and tough.
Eye alignment is sensitive and the scope "winks" a little if your eye is not positioned correctly but overall it will get the job done. If you have only the occasional spotting scope need this is a good buy."

"After I mounted my Trekker Spotting Scope to my gunbox, I took it to the club to sight it in. I showed it to other club members and we all agreed the view of the target throught the scope was overwelmingly astionishing. Highly satisfied with the optics. 1st buy I've made through Cabelas. It won't be the last!!!"

"The scope itself is o.k. but like many of the other reviewers noted, I found the tripod was not easy to attach. It took about an hour and I had to take the thing completely apart to get it together. There isn't enough clearance for the screw to attach to the scope more than one thread. I finally got it on but it was backward to the lever that adjusts it."

Waste of time, money and shipping; poor quality,

"This scope kit is cheaply made, flimsy and useless above the grade of a kids toy paper tube opera spectacle. If this is ok for you, then you have no need for a spotting scope. Save your money, frustration and multiple shipping.
This one also refused to thread with careful alignment. From reviews, this seems to be a common problem. Also seems to be pot metal.
It is on the way back. This is expensive for the consumer as well as Cabelas. Buy American. Cabelas has lots of it e.g. Justin boots."

"Pulled it out of the box and attempted to mount on the tripod and it wouldn't thread. The knob on the screw portion of the tripod is made of cheap plastic and quickly cracked making it inpossible to turn the screw. Optics appeared to be ok, but who knows. Only looked through it once."

"I am returning the item. It won't thread on the tripod. I tried one of my other tripods and it won't thread on it either. It's useless without being on a tripod. I guess you get what you pay for."

"For the price it is a good deal. I did have to re-tap the mounting plate to fit the mounting bolt. But for its intended purpose it will work nicely without spending an arm & leg. This is not the unit for those who prefer Leupold or Zeiss!"

"I thought it would be easier to focus and that it should have had an exposed eyepiece. I find it very hard on one eye holding it close to the glass without touching it. I would have payed more money and bought a better model had I known."

"checked out lots, but this was the one I ended up with. you could spend more, but why? I used it for sighting in last week, and it did the job it was supposed to. I used it for a 100 yd range and it performed just fine. If I used it more often or as part of the job, I would move up in class, but for me, this is all I need."

"The scope works very well so far, I put it on a camera tripod & keep it by the back sliding door for bird watching. My 5 year old can also use it and for the price I'm not afraid to let him explore using it (He would never touch a $400 scope on his own). I plan on using it for deer spotting this summer."

"overall im very satisfied with this product. i purchased it to be able to see where i was shooting on the ranges. i really like the fact that it comes with a case, because most of the spotting scopes that i saw didnt have a case"

"I used this scope on the shooting range. It was easy to set up and adjust. I used it for 100 yd spotting of 4in. clays I set up. It worked perfectly with a good field of vision. Very clear. Excellent for the range and the price was right."

"I returned a spotting scope that I had been given for christmas after purchasing this scope. The operational setting of the scope that I am most concerned with when looking to purchase a spotting scope is the full magnification clearity. Things tend to get blurry when a scope is pushed to full magnification. This is one of the better that I've seen in it's price range."
