"Have had no problems with the scale. Do have to re-tare often and like other dial scales, you have to make sure you are looking at the dial straight on when you tare and when you weigh."

"Outstanding piece of equipment! It took all of the guesswork out of dividing things up. It eliminated any hassles that hunting/fishing partners had when it came dividing the game/catch of the day! I use it for just about anything that needs to be weighed accurately around the farm as well. I've even used it to make that the post office scale was accurate when I ship things across the U.S.! And it's rugged and durable to boot!"

A good scale for home deer processing.,

"This scale is good for our home processing deer. Accurate measurement help get the right amount of seasoning in the meat. The little wing nuts that hold the table on the scale are hard for old stiff fingers to install. That's the only problem I find. I'll figure some other method by next season."

"This product was used for making deer suasage this year. Great product. Worked well. I liked the fact that I could tare the weights if needed depending on the bin I used. Huge platform that was very stable."

"I had just started into making sausage and was trying to use several other type of scales to accurately weigh my meat out and was having major trouble. My mixes where made up for certain amounts of meat and too much or too little meat made the mix taste off, so my first few batches were okay, but not perfect. I decided to try the scale from Cabelas and it was great and VERY accurate. I like you can take the top off and clean and store it, taking up less space. You also can calibrate the scale and get it perfect less the tub you might be using so there is no guessing. Great investment for a modest price."

"This is a decent buy, a must have for any kitchen or butcher shop. My only complaint is the wing nuts are a little tricky to do up when fastening the tray, but not a big deal."

"The scale worked fine for what I needed but I found it to be too big and bulky for my use. I needed a scale to weight venison for jerky and sausage, approx 10 lb range. It was much larger than I expected so I returned it. The function and quality of the scale was fine but a much smaller digital scale better suited my needs."

"Exterior is stainless, easy to clean, and the dial very clear and easy to read. I bought this to weigh the ground venison/pork and other wild game I make into sausage.
The packaging was poor and arrived with one edge of the base bent. Otherwise I would have rated this 5 stars."
