Leather Ranch coat,January 12, 2009
By Regomanfrom Rego Park,NY
"Great coat! Sure, it's heavy, but when it's 20 degrees, and the wind is blowing 25 mph, you'll be glad you bought it. The quality of this coat is better than I thought it would be. If you Bought a coat like this in a department store, You would probably pay double the price."
Nice Looking Warm Coat,January 7, 2009
By nanna3from Johnson City, NY
"My husband is very happy with this coat that I bought for him for Christmas. It is very heavy in weight and warm, great for the colder winter weather expecially when the temp drops down near the teens and below. This is too much coat for milder weather."
Leather Ranch Coat - broken snap,January 5, 2009
By mjr05
"It might seem like a small thing but the jacket came with a broken snap. The broken snap made us examine the entire jacket and left my husband questioning the overall quality and construction of the coat. We were disappointed."
A Quality Coat,December 30, 2008
By Brwng7mmfrom Layton, UT
"I received this coat from my in-laws for Christmas this year and I must say, I'm very impressed. It is a very heavy, warm coat that is classy enough to wear to work in the finance industry where I'm employed. It's listed as a ranch coat and definately fits that description in looks, but it's too nice of a coat to wear for outside chores. It's also very heavy, so if you like the feel and bulk of a solid coat, this is a good choice. I definately wouldn't recommend this coat to anyone who does not live in very cold regions. I ride the train to work and I love the warmth it provides in the morning just before sun up while I'm waiting on the platform. It's double stitched and has ample pockets and space. I'm 6'1" and a large hangs slightly off my shoulder... just the way I like it. The only change I would make to the coat would be to add a dark nubuck leather collar to contrast with the rest of the coat. Otherwise, its a very nice coat that is built to last."

"I returned a coat that my wife ordered for me from a high end company. This is a much better coat for less money. The quality and fit is excellent. It's perfect for those upcoming winter days . You can't go wrong with a value like this."

"I purchased this for my husband as a christmas gift and he was very happy with it. It is warm, fit well and it has quickly become his favorite. The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is becasue one of the snaps pulled out right away. He was able to repair it thus alleviating the need to go through the return process. overall, we are very satisfied."

"I have made this my best jacket to wear. The quality is exceptional and I am extremely pleased with it.As other customers have stated it is slightly heavy but on the positive side it is a very warm jacket."
Great for really cold weather!,December 14, 2007

"I live at 7,000 ft. in New Mexico by the continental divide, and -10 F is not unusual on winter mornings, with wind on top of that. I lived in Alaska for 12 years and wish I had owned this coat back then. It is nice enough for wear to work (I'm a hospital administrator) and warm enough to keep you from freezing until your car warms up, or on days when I walk the half-mile to work, even when it is -10 and windy. I love the number of pockets, easy access to hand warmer pockets and the silk like lining makes slipping this coat on or off over sweaters easy. Great piece of equipment, and nice to have something other than my backcountry insulated parkas when I want to dress up a bit. Thanks Cabelas, this coat is a great value!"

"I loved the look of the jacket and put off buying it for nearly a year. I returned because it is way too heavy for my part of the country and I knew I would never, ever wear it"
Ranch Coat,October 20, 2007

"The Leather Ranch Coat is what I expected when I first saw it in the Catalog. It is well worth the money and living in the North West it will be a worth while investment especially in the Fall and Winter Months."
Nice .. but,October 16, 2007
By Tribe2007from Cleveland
"The leather jacket is nice and the leather is soft and supple. However, the coat is much heavier than I thought it would be. It will be really nice if he temperature goes well below freezing, but unless it gets that cold, I will probably not wear it much. If the liner were detachable it would be a much better value."
