"Have been using a $30 call for the past year or so and could never get it to sound quite right, could get the simple clucks and graons but not what i wanted to be able to do. Decided to get a nice call and see if that helped... and the difference is more than i ever imagined! Blew on this call for an hour and saw more improvement that i had in years! The dvd that comes with it is hands down the best goose calling dvd around! I not only can now blow sounds that i could have never imagined, but i can even do it on my old call thanks top fred zinks instruction!!! Veteran caller or rookie this is a great call and dvd set and will improve your hunting more than you can ever imagine!!! If you are even considering it.... Buy IT!!"

"This call is very easy to blow into, but the only thing I don't like about it, it seems to have a high pitch to. So I dont know if the call is broken or I just need to have it tuned correctly. Overall good call for the money but I wish the call didn't have that high-pitch sound."

"this call is on of a kind its a little hard to blow but it sounds like a thousand geese. the first time I went out i didnt have this call and we shot 3. the next day i got it and went to the same spot and shot 7 limits. this call really does work."

"Very easy call to use. However it will take some time to learn the "in and outs" of the call, as with any call. How each person blows into a call is different than anyone else. Have patience, and get watch the instructional DVD. With this call (or any call), don't be afraid to try a different way of calling into it. Just because the instructional DVD says you should call one way, and another DVD says you should call this way, you have to have patience and work out what works best for you.
I would recommend talking directly to the call manufacturer, or a knowledgable Cabela's staff member before buying any call. They may be able to steer you in the right direction. It sure beats just buying a call based on how it looks."

"i recently bought the cocobolo paralyzer and i am very satisfied. the first time i used the call whlie hunting, i called in a flock on the river. however, if you put a lot of air through your calls, it will take time to get use to. i have an acrylic power clucker and acrylic power maximus and the notes on the cocobolo are not nearly as sharp as the others. on the flip side, the paralyzer is great for moans and other lay down calls. clucks are very easy but like all calls, it will take a couple hours of messing with and tuning it to your calling style to get to know the call. if the geese like it, its a good call"

"I think its a little harder to blow correctly than most but it sounds good first time out killed 3 limits of birds useing only the one call but did not have to call alot. only used it one time so still not so sure yet but it seems to work!"

"this call is very hard to learn how to use, if i could i would have never bought it. if you are thinking about getting a good goose call don't waste your money on this onethere are alot better goose calls out there to buy. I would reccomend foiles migrator strait meat goose or zink calls money maker they are a little bite more money but in the long run it is worth every penny."

"I have been using the flute calls for years and was struggling with learning the basics of the short barrel calls. NOT this call, popped in the dvd that comes with it and in ten minutes i could do more with it than in 5 years with my other short barrel. this call is built to work similar to a flute but in a short barrel design. fred zink YOU ARE THE MAN."

"I only had two days to use the call in Nebraska were I had never hunted before and I killed my limit both days. The call sounded great right out of the box. After blowing it while hunting and in the truck on the way home it did need to be tuned again but they are bound to change when they are new. I am sold on Zink. It also came with a very good video, most calls they charge extra."

"This is my second sr-1. Great deep call and easy to blow. The only gripe I have is that the insert and barrel fit very loosely together, sometimes falling out easily. The barrel does not have a groove for a lanyard keeper, so it would be very easy to lose the insert."

"I have never been a good goose caller, but with this call I am able to hit all of those notes that you need to get the geese down on the ground. I haven't used it for hunting yet, but I was at a local river and called a group in. This call will give you the right tool you need in the field."

"After trying many of the lower priced short reeds I decided to buy one good call. There are a million calls on the market so I called Zink directly. They recommended the SR-1 based on it's very forgiving nature. It sounds great, even if you aren't the greatest caller, and with a little practice you'll have no problem fooling late season birds. This call sounds awesome, is easy to blow, and brings birds in."
