just what i wanted and a little more!,

"first of all it came fully assembled which is great if time is limited like mine usually is. basically you unfold lock a couple of tabs and you have rock solid shooting bench. it is a bit on the heavy side if you had to hual very far by hand but that is probably also what makes it so solid."

Ideal for my needs,
July 12, 2009
By gimpyinlincoln

"I'm very pleased with this bench. It's very good value for the money, especially since I bought it on sale. I wanted a solid, portable bench for sighting in and casual testing of hand loads. This fits the bill. I attach a board with a couple of c-clamps, which gives me an extension to rest my elbow and place the rear sand bag. The bench is heavy and, thus, not very portable for hunting situations. However, I only intend to use it as described above and for this use it is ideal. The weight provides stability. Although it seems well made (I haven't tested it yet and don't know how durable it will be), I gave it 5 stars because it fits my needs so well and it is easily modified to add an extension to the platform."

Very Happy,
May 17, 2009
By 777Cowboy

"I chose this bench after looking at several offered by Cabela's. I used the reviews to weigh one vs another. I am very happy with this bench. My wife and I used it in the back yard patterning turkey loads this Spring. The bench was a comfortable shooting height for us both. The bench is sturdy and stable even with my near 300lb butt on it. It takes longer to get the bench out of the box than it does to unfold it and set up. It has a protective film on the seat and table surface to prevent scratches during shipment. You might want to leave it on. It's not as slick as the surface under it. The gun rest isn't as sturdy as a bi-pod or sand bags but works fine for plinking or patterning shotguns."

Excellent product,

"I like the bench. It's easy to set up, and sturdy for sighting in and varmint hunting. I don't use the rifle rest, because all of my weapons have bi-pods. I like the benchrest ones the best. The rifle rest that comes with the bench adds weight, and you have to really lean into the bench to properly get the rifle in position. It is still the best for the money, and I highly recommend for any shooter."

Great Shooting Bench,

By Dangerousdaryl

"Great shooting bench. The bench is very stable and robust. The folding design is very clever, and the bench can be moved and set up in less than a minute. The table top is big enough to shot a rifle very comfortably. A very good value."

great bench,
November 4, 2008
By theartman
from Oregon, mostly bench rest shooting
|
"I am really happy with this bench! It is stable, nicely made and well priced. I do not use the rest (have a better rifle rest) but you could. The only modification it needs here is to wedge a fitting piece of wood between the left and right rest receivers on the underside of the tabletop, then this one is pretty sturdy too. It takes a bit to figure out how to best unfold it and pack it back up (without getting pinched), but you will quickly manage it. I often have it out in a gravel pit on uneven ground and it stands nice and solid. Go for it, you will not be disappointed."

Cabela's Elite Shooting Bench,

"Works very well. Glad I bought it. It is a little on the heavy side but then again that probably makes it more stable. For the money I do not think you could beat it. It is so well built that I would expect it to last many years."

Shooting Bench,
June 30, 2008
By Laite319
from Devils Lake, ND
|
"I purchased the shooting bench for my first prairie dog shoot in western ND. The bench is very stable, and is very easy and quick to set up. The only problem is the surface scratches easily and is starting to peel off already. The extra time and effort it takes to set up was worth it to get up off the ground with a better field of view than the guys who were shooting prone. So far I am very happy with this product."

STURDY BENCH,

By Farmer7722

"Easy to set up right out of the box. Plenty sturdy enough for sighting in and varmint hunting. There are better benches available but not for the price of this bench. Any heavier and it would be troublesome to tote to the field. Great value. George"

Elite Shooting Bench; Good Buy,
February 20, 2008
By RoosterC
from Tx
|
"Stable, easily packed up and moved, rugged. Nice amount of extra space to scatter your gear, and still work your rifle. I'd say it was well worth it. Only drawback is it's a little heavy to pack into the backcountry, but you gotta have weight if you want something solid."

Elite Shooting Bench,
February 7, 2008
By Niteowl
from California
|
"I've had my Elite shooting bench for almost five years and I would have to say that its one of the best pieces of shooting gear I've ever purchased. Easy to transport and store, the bench is ideal for sighting in the rifles or spending the day in the field making life miserable for ground squirrels. I should add that the bench is extremely sturdy and with minimal care it probably would last a lifetime. I've tried out other, much more expensive, shooting tables and benches and I haven't found anything yet that I would take over my Elite.
