Nice boots, but need break-in time..,June 3, 2008

"I jumped right in to work with these boots, and after a few blisters on my ankles, realized that I should have given them a week or two of light duty to break them in. Invested in some expensive after-market insoles for better arch support (which I now switch out in all 3 pairs (different brands) of my boots. These are going to be very comfortable, and we will see how they hold up. Don't walk 10 miles in them until you break them in though."

"The leather uppers of this boot are excellent, have had them for two years and uppers are still like new. The soles are slip-resistant as they state, but the Compressor Technlology leaves alot to be desired. They clam to absorb 50% more shock and return 30% more energy in every step, I believe they do not absorb any energy, but return 50% of that energy back to your heels. The first 30 minutes you have them on they feel like your walking on pillows, after that, there is constant pressure on your heels, I have never owned a pair of boots that have hurt my heels so much. I stand and walk on concrete all day,but I would try this boot again if they would use a different type of sole on them, because the quality of the rest of the boot is very good."

"My husband is a welder/fabricator and works in a building with cement floors. He's on his feet all day long, it's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. He's had many problems with his feet due to walking and standing on cement all day but for saftey reasons he has to wear heavy workboots no matter what the weather is.
He's not a shopper so trying to get him to buy boots is almost impossible. A couple of years ago we purchased a pair of the Wolverine Compressor boots from Cabela's and he's never been more satisfied with a pair of boots. These boots are really a quality product, they hold up wonderfully & offer great comfort. He's now on his third pair of these boots and let me tell you nothing makes me happier knowing I can go to the web, know exactly what I'm getting and knowing my husband will be completely satisfied with the purchase.
