"Absolutely one of the best purchases I have made. worked like a charm. I was lucky enough to get one this year and was able to use it to get him open and get him cool. Forgot to remove it while we were draggin him down the mountain but it stayed right in place. Really sold on Outdoor Edge stuff."

"i just used mine tonight after geting a road killworks just like it say's it will.before i got this i did it to old way needless to say i was alway's cuting a fingure i'd highly recommend this to all hunters and for sure my friends make's the job a lot easyer then the old way. can wait to use it again"

No more 2x4's,

"For 10 years now i have been useing a piece of 2x4 wood to hold open my deer to gut......Well now I'm first class. With this little baby things go so much faster and cleaner. The clean - up is easy just a little cold water and some bleach and i'm good to go again, I would recommend everyone who hunts deer get one or more of these to give to a buddy and for yourself great product wish i had one a long time ago. "Great tool. Makes dressing elk in the field easier. As well as keeping the chest open for cooling. Is not too big or heavy so I carry mine in my day pack. Liked it so much I have bought 6 to give to my hunting buddies."

"The Steel Stick worked very well to help keep the chest cavity open for cleaning. It is quite large though, so on smaller deer it may be too big."

"First, Its nice to know that i can either log-on or make a phone call to a company like cabela's and recieve excellent customer service.
Secondly,
I'm all about preparing the best ''wild game recipies'' that i can! Thats why i purchased the steel spreader. It enables me to open and spread the brisket of an animal for ''clean gutting'' and for a positive cool down process.

"I'm an avid deer hunter in Minnesota. I purchased this deer chest spreader and was very please at how much easier it made dress the deer. I definitely recommend it to hunters. Definitely better than finding a stick to do the same."

Good but would be better if stainless,

"I tried to use this product but had difficulty for several reasons including lack of experience, small size deer. fat caused it to be a little slick to try and position and ultimately my deer I believe was too small for it. When I washed, a tiny bit of surface rust appeared as chrome will do, stainless steel would be better suited.
I do think the product is a great idea and will try again."

Can field dress with one person easier...,

"I have used this spreader for 3 years now. It really does keep the rib cage open so field dressing is faster and easier. If you want to hang your deer, use it to keep the rib cage open to help with cooling. I clean this by placing in boiling water after usage."
