"These gloves are outstanding. They have really kept my hands warm these cold days and I have not had them rip or tear and I'm even constantly using my hands closing train lids, sweeping, and sealing train cars."

not for people with sturdy fingers,March 17, 2009
By wannabeacampingmomfrom New Jersey
"Normally I would wear a L, but the L was too small and tight, and the XL was too tight. The XL might have fit fine without the insulation, but that didn't help. Still shopping."

Super Pair of Winter Gloves,February 23, 2009
By Anonymousfrom MA
"I love these gloves. They are good looking and warm. I do question the sizing chart provided for these gloves. I measured my hand as specified and came up with a size L. They are a bit snug and I wish I had ordered XL."

Short handed,February 17, 2009
By Hinterlandfrom Vermont
"I have used these gloves a few times now, to bring firewood in. They appear to be quality, durable gloves. They are not impressively warm, but they do the job. Read the reviews… whatever country these gloves are made in, the population has much smaller hands. I bought a large. Measuring the width of my hand at the knuckles I get around 4 inches. That fits well. But, I have long slender fingers (knuckle to middle finger, tip, around 5 inches) The glove had to be more than an inch shallow in the fingers. That might have played a part in them not being ‘that’ warm…"

Nice gloves.,February 17, 2009
By hankfmfrom Montana
"Anytime a Gore-Tex liner is incorporated, it takes up space. So, there is a little loss of dexterity, but the gloves are warm comfortable and definately waterproof. I dropped my ice scoop down the hole while ice fishing, so I used my hands to get the rest of the slush and ice out. These gloves kept them dry and warm. On the other hand (bad pun) maybe I wouldn't have dropped the scoop if the dexterity was better?"

wrong size,February 12, 2009
By xlglovesfrom Mashpee MA
"I bought a pair of these gloves last year, size 2XL, fit great. This year I wanted to buy 2 more pair but the sizes only went to XL. SO just for chuckles I bought only 1 pair of XL, NOT a good fit, therefore will give this pair to my son.......None for me this year, I guess!"

As Advertised...,February 10, 2009
By TSTORM914from Upstate Western NY
"These gloves do what they say. They are warm and have a waterproof lining. They do not however, seal around your wrist and snow and water can get in. They are big, bulky gloves not very good if dexterity is needed. They do work well for me, but may not well for someone else that cannot afford for a little water or snow to get in, and where dexterity is not needed."

Just not there,February 10, 2009
By BeenRoddedfrom Zionsville, IN
"Gloves are hard to break in. I have worked in them over 40 hours already and they are still stiff. Heavy labor - tree cutting and splitting. I ordered 2XL since my hands are large but that's not how they feel when you put them on. Disappointed! LEATHER DOES HOLD UP WELL"

Gore-tex work gloves,February 5, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Winnemucca, Nv
"I recently moved to an area where it gets below 0* add to that wet weather and things get colder. I can't worry about may hands getting cold. With thees gloves my hands never get cold or wet. In that very pleased. However like any other cold weather gloves I have worn it is tough to do finite taskes."

Can't trust the sizing on otherwise fine gloves,February 3, 2009
By PaddyJ
"My hand measures at the low end of Cabela's Large size, so I ordered the Large even though I saw recommendations here to order one size higher. The gloves were too small, so I exchanged them for XL, which are STILL too small. The gloves seem warm and very well constructed, but they're relegated to backup status because of the size.
A minor point, the tags were attached to the gloves by poking holes through the leather, which was completely unnecessary because if they had put the tags on the other side they'd have gone through the black fabric instead."

CABELA'S GORE TEX WORK GLOVES,January 27, 2009
By RATCHETTfrom NEW HAMPSHIRE
"PURCHASED THE GLOVES FOR BOYFRIEND WHICH IS NOT EASY TO BUY FOR. HE WORKS OUT SIDE A LOT AND HANDS GET VERY COLD WHERE HIS HANDS HAS BEEN FROST BITEN YEARS AGO SO THEY ARE HARD TO KEEP THEM WARM AND COMFORTABLE. HE LOVES THE GLOVES SO FAR KEEPS THEM WARM AND DRY EVEN WHEN THE WEATHER GOT -24 DEGREES WHICH IS UNCOMMON TEMP FOR OUR STATE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE GOVES TO ANYONE."

Great Gloves,January 27, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Chicago
"Outstanding product at good price, right after they arrived we received 8 inches of snow and the temperatures plummeted. Two hours of running the snow blower and my hands stayed comfortable. I have used them at 9 below and they still do the job. Took a little work to break them in but after that they are great."

great winter work gloves,January 6, 2009
By DoctorDugfrom Wisconsin
"I use these when cutting firewood in the snow. They keep my hands warm and dry, even when soaked from melting snow. They stand up to the abrasiveness of the tree bark mush better than nylon or other synthetic palmed gloves."
