"Just got these rain pants for spring turkey season. Really like the fit and if they're as waterproof as others have reported I won't be dissapointed if I'm out looking for gobblers in the rain. Pockets and belt loops would be a nice addition, but I'm happy with the fit and useability as is."

"I rate the Cabela's Silent-Pro Pants good as far as waterproof goes. They are comfortable to wear. However they are not very breathable. When walking a lot I would overheat and have to take them off. For breathable I would only rate them as fair to poor."

"I wore these almost the day I got them as an outer layer on a late season, cold, rainy bowhunt. They kept me very dry, but they were noisy. I was hoping they would be quieter, but they are dry and really help block the wind. They also pick up burs readily, don't have any pockets, and I would like a more adjustable waist."

"My wife had to add belt loops to the pants so a belt could be worn. What good are hunting pants if you can not strap on a knife or a pistol? The pants also lack pockets. They keep you dry, but the missing belt loops and lack of pockets are problematic."

"I purchased the pants (and matching coat) for deer hunting. The fabric sticks to trees like velco and picks up burrs and leafy material when walking to the deer stand. I had my wife sew in buttons for suspenders because the pants did not include belt loops nor a draw sting with the elastic waist band. Will be great for fishing but wouldn't recommend for hunting."

"I purchased the Silent-Pro Pants, along with the Silent-Pro Parka, for this fall hunting season. The Silent-Pro pants have proven to be very well made, are light weight and packable, have an excellent camo pattern and they really work well. I have found that water does not force through the Silent Pro pants while sitting in a saddle or a bass boat for hours in driving rain. The Silent-Pro series have proven indespensible for all of my outdoor activities that require a warm and dry garment."

"Dear Cabela's,
I heard and learned about this product on fishing trip with my cousin. It was a MN opener trip to Basswood Lake, and needless to say it was cold and wet, and the BWCA had a burning ban on, thus no campfire to warm up by.
Well, all I had was an old rubberized set of rain gear, and it did not breath, and thus my own body moisture got trapped in the suit, and I did not really feel "warm and dry" the whole trip.
The needless to say, my cousin was feeling nice and warm and dry and still enjoying the trip...he was wearing the "Cabelas Silent Pro Parka" and matching pants. After seeing how comfortable they are, and how you could still enjoy yourself in the wild despite the wet weather, I then purchase a parka and matching pants the very next year. I have been enjoying the wet weather ever since.
I will soon be purchasing two more sets of this product for both of my son's in the near future.
I would highly recommend this product to all who love to hunt and fish. It is a must have product.
