EXCELLENT FOOTBED,

"I discovered these after buying my first pair of menidl perfekt walker. since then i have purchased the light hiker and the perfekt hiker. i enjoy them so much that i ordered extra footbeds. then i tried them in my two pair of scarpas and it was 100 % improvement. one scarpa cost me $250.00 and the footbeds were junk compared to the meindls. now i need to buy a couple more pairs to have on hand. well you know what they say the germans make everything good."

"Time robs ALL footbeds of resiliency. The rugged exterior of my Meindl boots hangs in there while my two hundred twenty five pound body pounds at the wonderful footbeds for eight to ten hours a day. How wonderful to be able to have a fresh Meindl footbed to replace one on which time has taken its toll. These natural cork based footbeds are a stroke of genius and other bootmakers should strive to imitate what Meindl has perfected. Many boots are discarded long before they have lost their sole. This assures your great Meindl boots won't be."

"These are great and comfortable - but the do have a high arch. That took a little getting used to - but they are comfortable and I plan on buying more of them for other boots. Well made, no complaints."

Forget about "Good Feet" Get Meindl,

"You can get expensive custom orthodics, or you can just get Cabela's "PERFEKT" footbeds! The first thing I do when I get a new pair of boots or shoes, tear out the cheap footbeds that come in the footwear and replace them with "PERFEKT" footbeds from Cabella's. You wont believe the difference it makes. Of course if you don't want to be hooked, don't buy them, I gaurrantee they will spoil you!!"

"Meindl is the top of the line mountaineering shoe manufacturer-any one who owns their products will probably agree. The 'perfekt' foot bed however has a problem. Between cork and upper insole layer there is a thin pieces of foam. They are intended for the people with significant foot arch, but not for those with a flat foot. Bottom of your foot is a very sensitive "organ" (see Reflexology, organs correlation on the bottom of the feet). Even a sand corpuscle feels as uncomforting in your shoe. Unfortunately, these small foam padding are glued in such a way, that they soaked with dry glue and became rigid. Solution- separate cork from the top layer and remove blue foam components. Then you can glue top layer and cork back together. The foot bed runs oversized, for my 10 wide I am using 9."

"I purchased these footbeds per a recommendation from a friend. I needed something for a 2 week backpacking trek to Philmont Scout Ranch. I had to trim them to fit my boots. After the 2 weeks and 60+ miles later, I'm happy to report they held up wonderfully. The added support really proved valueable in the rugged back country."

"Foot beds are an excellent addition to a pair of boots, and I am usign these as a spare. Noce to have another set to flop in and out of your boots on ong hikes while hunting. Fresh feet make all the difference in the world as to how you feel."

"I have flat feet, have had one foot operated on for this condition. I have tryed the expensive orthotics to the inexpensive. Have found none that work as well as the Perfekt footbeds. I have them in my Meindel hunting boots, but also bought extra's for all my other shoes."

My hiking boots are like new again!,

"These replacement footbeds have made my "Perfekt Hiking" boots feel like new again. I have flat feet, these are the only hiking boots I have worn that I didn't need my orthotic inserts. The inserts are very high quality construction and the thick cork laminations give me the arch support I need for many miles."
