"I used these with Garmin 110's and 120's. They don’t work properly. When you transmit, the other person hears you just fine. When they call you, you can hear them just fine. But then after they stop transmitting, the earpiece continues to buzz in your ear. It continues to buzz until you key the mic, then it stops. The problem is that if your buddy is using the same earpiece, when you key your mic to stop the buzzing, it causes his earpiece to buzz, so he keys his mic to stop the buzzing. This causes your earpiece to buzz, so you key the mic to get it to stop, which causes his to buzz, ad infinitum. I've talked to other guys; same problem. Get the earpiece without the PTT mic, and clip the radio on your pack strap, up near your mouth."

"All right for the cost, the bud stays in ok. The sound is very good. The cord is a little awkard, but ok for the cost. This is a must for riding with a group. You can hear while riding and know what the group is saying."

"My hunting partner called me on the radio to ask how much longer I was going to hunt. As I reached down, picked up the radio and began to answer him, I noticed a monster buck giving me the eyeball. He heard the radio and was gone in a flash. He won't hear my radio again."

"Great earbud, sound quality great, I did remove the foam earbud cover and replaced with fitted ear pieces that came with my cell phone, cant beat it now. The only draw back I have is that the one time I had to use the earbud w/PTT during a day long hunt in a heavy snow storm, it came down with a short and kept keying up and was driving everyone else on the channel nuts. I had to disconnect the unit and continue my hunt without stealth communications."

"Overall, the Garmin Rino Earbud with PTT Microphone has worked well for me but I would encourage the makers to develop a "ear wrap-around" system for the microphone. It will help secure the michrophone in tough conditions. I had trouble keeping the earbud in my ear. Good sound quality and the microphone works very well. I would buy another but look forward to a few improvements that could keep the earbud in the ear."

"I have both the head band style and the earbud. Both do the job but I prefer the earbud because it works best with my hat. The ear piece is very important when you're looking for the game so a buddy doesn't call and scare off the game in the middle of your stalk. Also, for us harder of hearing folks the ear pieces are very helpful."
