"My favorite tripod by far and although it's heavy, it makes up for it when the wind is blowing hard. It's very stable and quiet when properly cared for, The quick tabs are essential. I've had it for over two years now and it's just a part of my pack. One time I did have a fluke mechanical failure with the head part while on a hunting trip and was able to salvage it for the rest of the trip. I went to my local Cabelas and they swapped it out for a new one at no charge! Outstanding!!"

"This tripod is made by Monfrotto and therefore is of exceptional quality. That is why I rated this tripod as Average overall. The main problem with this tripod is the extreme weight coupled with its significant size. These attributes limit its usefulness for hunting big game. It is too heavy and cumbersome to pack on your back unless thats all you plan on taking. I recommend this product for someone who will be viewing at a stationary location not for someone who will be hiking, hunting on foot or otherwise having to pack this tripod. I sent this item back to Cabelas and exchanged it for the Monfrotto 3001BN tripod. Its smaller, weighs less, costs less and is just as stable as the larger tripod marketed by Swarovski."
