"Great sock for leather boots I wear. They come up high and add additional warmth to the calf. I usually wear 1 light pair of socks under these, for colder weather, as I usually hunt the upper midwest in November. They never slip down to my ankles as some socks will. Good socks overall."

"I have lived in Alaska and know a thing or two about cold feet. These socks are not for real cold weather without shoe packs or muck-a-lucks. They are really good socks however and probably buy more myself. I don't live in the artic any more and no longer need the very warmest clothing, for the southwestern US these have been just the ticket. They stay up, do not cut off circulation, do not itch as some pure wool socks do and a larger size boot in not needed for this sock."

"Just wanted to give props to Cabela's for there Cold Weather Sock. I used several pairs of these sock while hunting in Eastern Oregon for a week. For more that several day I woke to find 6" or more of snow in elk camp, these socks kept my feet nice and warm through out the day and night weather I was on the ATV, in the bush or in the sack. Would recommend this sock, its a great buy."

"I liked the construction of these socks and the 16" hieght. The balance of the materials (merino wool, acrylic and polyester thermolite) seem to perform well together; they wick away mositure while keeping the foot warm and comfortable. I will look for these materials in all future socks I buy."

"I feel that if my feet are warm and comfortable during a hunt, then I will be able to concentrate more on my hunting and not how miserable I feel. I wore these socks this past week in 40 degree weather with Muck boots. I didn't have to think about my feet...a definite plus. I am anxious to see how they will perform in the cold temperatures that November and December bring in the field. I believe they will perform as stated. These socks are well made and provide a bit of extra cushion as well."

"First let me say these socks are comfortable. They are thick and have extra padding where you need it. They are great with boots. They look like they will last a long time as well.
Now, I have to say they are not very warm. I tried them out at my local speedway. Sitting in the grand stands all evening with temps. around 50 degrees. My feet were cold. I did have only tennis shoes on so maybe with a good pair of boots they will work better.
Overall, they are the most comfortable socks I have ever worn, but for as thick as they are I felt they should have done a better job of keeping my feet warm.
I love Cabela's."

"These are absolutely the best cold weather socks available on the market today. They keep your feet warm, stay in shape and do not stretch out, and still fit into regular sized boots.
You can order heavier socks and then order boots 2 sizes larger than what you normally wear, but if you want socks to keep your feet warm in regular sized boots - buy these!
Before I purchased the Cabela's Deluxe Cold Weather Socks my feet would get so cold hunting that sometimes I could barely feel them at all. The Cabelas Deluxe socks keep my feet warm and toasty even when sitting in a blind in single degree temperatures."

"Wearing wool socks year around is a trick I learned while working in the oil industry in Saudi Arabia. Wool insulates both hot and cold. Wool has a natural antibacterial property that keeps my feet odor free. The knee-high length of these socks makes great liners under my hip waders. The thick loft of the sole adds cushion and support for hours of standing in my favorite stream. Although the Texas heat is no where close to Saudi, the wicking property of these socks keep my feet and lower legs dry and cool beneath my shorts or jeans."
