good product,

"This decoy is well constructed and does bring in the ducks. The 5 mph rating is certainly a little optimistic, the wind needs to be closer to 10 mph to spin the wings (usually not a problem where I live). It's nice to still have the winduk spinning when the other guys' mojos are out of power or have some other malfunction. Nice and light to carry in too.
Just a note for those buying, the bearings are not sealed, so keep it in the cab of your truck if driving gravel roads as to not get dust in the bearings."

Too Inconsistant,

"Used one last year and found this decoy to scare ducks. I come to the conclusion that the wings spin at varying speeds due to varying wind speeds, looks very out of place in a light wind."

Worked For Me,
October 26, 2007
By griffj

"Set them up on two different length poles to add some depth to the spread. Wind was out of the NE at 9mph and the wings spund as advertised. I agree with the previous review that you may want to tie some parachute cord to the wind duck to keep them from blowing away during a good wind gust."

Winduk Review,

By 17950

"The Winduk worked great. In the morning there was no wind and the ducks would not work our decoys. As soon as the wind picked up in the afternoon and we put out the Winduk we couldn't keep the ducks out of our decoys."

Blows Away in High Wind,
December 13, 2006
By PistolDave
from David, Reelfoot Lake, Union City, Tennessee
|
"Works well in medium (10-20 mph) wind conditions. Will not turn in lower wind, and in higher will likely blow it off your support pole. I lost one recently in wind of 25+ gust. Needs to have a cord attached to the bottom of it to attach to the pole so when it does blow off (and it will) you can go put back up or retrieve it instead of losing a $25 -$50 winduk, like I did. I'm attaching a cord to mine now. Still, overall, cheaper and less trouble than a robo."

WINDUK Duck Decoys,
November 30, 2006
By davidping
from Warrington, PA
|
"The decoy looks good. The only problem that I have had is that the wings will not spin in a 5-10 mph wind, as advertised. When there is a much stronger wind, the wings will spin and the decoy works. The wings may be too heavy to work in a 5-10 mph wind. There needs to be some more design work done on this product. A better balance needs to be achieved between function and durability."

winduck guide model,
November 22, 2006
By mrfishy2
from south coast of Oregon
|
"This decoy is built to last!! This winduck model looks very realistic and the bearings in the wings work flawlessly. I used this decoy in as little wind as 6mph and as great as 30mph. It seems to work best low to the water as the spinning wings move the serface of the water. I would highly recommend this product."

spinning wing decoy,

By gary123

"this is a good product. it is light, pretty well made, and is easy to take apart or put together. It spins with only a little wind and is quiet. It doesn't work very well in high winds(it says not to use in winds over 25 or 30 mph) Very good for someone who has to carry their decoys on their back."

Winduk,
November 1, 2006

"I suggest not buying it. There has to be a considerable amount of wind to get the wings spinning. If you are going to pay that much buy a Mojo. It isnt that durable either."

Winduk rules!,

By Bags

"I just came back from a trip to Manitoba- all I had was (1) Winduk. I used it in a field, and watched the birds just DUMP into the decoy! I got my limit of (16) mallards in two days. I even had an owl ATTACK the thing one morning- I am going to buy at least 2-3 more for next year's trip."
