"I have grabbed a couple of each flavor among other types of blocks/ salts/ goo
I decided to just see what the local deer would like & what they wouldn't all in one big taste test ...
everything is in pathways / feeding spots , etc I can see from the house over a couple mile area ( doesnt hurt to have one heck of a view )
each area each block , etc was in was already in use for quite a few years now , all are used by multiple deer . all are used daily & usually at least a couple times a day ..
The ONLY blocks not hit at all were apple ... seems they would rather wait for the real deal to ripen & take off my trees .. go figure ..
Corn they seemed happy enough with , hitting it not daily but weekly
acorn is the fav . I have watched , more than once , where does would chase off other deer . bucks hit on them as well , not as often , does are just being pigs about them usually .
still salt gets hit before any mineral block but daily is daily ...."

Mineral Blocks,

"These blocks are mainly used in the bow season. The apple and acorn work best in my area. I tried the sweet corn which layed until they got hungry enough. I have not tried the peanut butter or wild persimmon. Good way to get rid of old stumps, deer power!"

"i had heard that these don't work too well in bad weather or in the cold months. i looked at the price and thought its not ot much and gave it a try. i got the corn and acorn ones. there was about a foot of snow in the area so i pushed the snow aside and set in on a layer of thick ice and also put corn all over adn around them. the first days the deer ate the corn and i had never seen and deer around these blocks but the tracks i fount were good enlough for me. there were tones of tracks so i know they work. try these you cant lose anything. Great product."

"Placed 4 blocks over 1600 acres. 2 i drilled a hole through to tie a rope to them and hung them from a tree, 2 i just tossed on the ground. Both worked great got about a 8"x8" hole that is about 2" deep!
Cant beat it for the price!!!
Just bought 3 more!

Great,
August 29, 2007
By tomfever1

"This is a good mineral block. We got the acorn and put it on a dead stump and the deer have torn not only the stump apart but they have broken the mineral block in half. This is a really good mineral block. There is only one thing that I wish would have been changed, it has a little too much salt for me, we are curantley going through a drought and they will not eat it as much with out a lot of water. They will eat everything around it but when there isnt much water around they won't bother it. By the way I reccommend putting more than one in a area and also putting some type of feed over it. They will eat it alot quicker and come back more."
