it's cheap for a reason!,

"I bought this product, and like others on here, it didn't work right out of the box. The needle barely moved, so I took it apart and after some messing around I found the contact wasnt' being made between probe and wire. Spend a few dollars more and buy something that doens't look like it was put together by a 3 year old."

"To me this product was worthless. I followed the directions exactly as instructed. Every reading was 7. And since we had some of our soil tested already the results were way different. One of the samples was 5.3. I even tried some of the techniques that others put in their reviews, just to see, and still 7. Its on its way back to the store."

"got the same reading in all the soils i tested my soil my buddies soil even tested my potting soil all the tests came out the same about 6.7 then took a soil test and had in sent out my reading came back 4.8 ph way off"

"I have seen this PH tester before, at other stores, and cabela,s had the right price. The product works as claimed, if used properly, following the instructions. It is very helpful when used tracking the progress of our deer food plots, with the help of info from QDMA."

"I did the test on three pieces of ground that I have on my food plot, they all read the same. Which, wouldn't be that far out of perspective? They all read 7.0, for me that's good. I haven't checked the garden yet, but the meter seems to work fine? Don't quote me. It's going to take many soil samples to prove this item. Later, Mohunter68"

"According to the Biologists I have spoken to, because of the sandy soil and large dominance of planted pines our soil tends to be very acidic. The Biologic PH meter reads 7.0 constantly.
When testing anything from sand to potting soil only varied from 6.25 to 7.0. I called and talked to tech. support and they suggested probing an orange, which should read acidic but instead read 7.0. I was excited about being able to conduct a PH test directly in the field which would benefit our hunting club members but instead will be returning the product."

"The Bio Logic pH Meter allows you to sample the soil in the field, which is a great time-saver, as opposed to sending your samples to a lab, then await your results. The only thing missing was a simple guideline to accompany the meter, especially for the novice...something as simple as a chart depicting the reading and how much lime would be required per acre. Otherwise, great tool."

"I bought the PH meter and used it right away. The meter works but I wish there were intructions about how to use. I learned that you have to keep it in the ground for a period of time like 8 to 10 seconds for it to fully read right. I broke my first one by putting the needle all the way in the ground. so dont do that. The PH meter helped me because I have big fields and a soil sample kit wont tell me which parts of my fields need work so I can walk around and put the meter in the ground and learn which parts of my fields need work. I map the areas and come back to work on them later."

"I have not compared accuracy to the local farm supply services but it seems to be right on. I have tested several food plots that resulted different readings. I even tested my lawn at home. The price of this meter is equal to one soil sample test. Well worth the price. Needle bounces around during testing. It could have come with more details and instructions."
